Problems with clipboard map...

This has been a problem ever since I started playing about 6 months ago, and its getting to be more and more of a nuisance, and I dont know whats wrong.... Basically, the problem is, all the dots and radar circles in my clipboard map are black. So, when I open it, if I see, say a furball, I see a black mass, instead of a garble of green and read. Towns are black dots also, and radar circles are black. This is a real problem since I cant tell whether a dot is an approaching enemy or friendly, so I have to  get within 6k of it. At night, stars are also black instead of white- this is particularly annoying, as they look like far-off planes. Unrelated, I also dont have a gear indicator in any vehicle beside the T34 and the M4.

Radeon video card ....  you need the 4.12 cat or omega drivers http://www.omegadrivers.net/archive.php

Radeon Omega Drivers 2.5.97a (Catalyst 4.12)  this will fix the black clipboard dots .

I will be so glad when they stop building those 9000 series video cards.  That video chip is going over 6 years old now.  It's from the original Radeon 8500!  How they can still sell it as a new product is beyond me.

Thanks very much for the info and link. I do, infact, have an ATI Radeon 9200 series graphics card... but I dont know where to put the driver  

On a side note, I will soon/eventually be getting a new graphics card. What do you suggest?

MMkay...
Got the driver installed.
But...
Cant play Aces High. That and scrolling through webpages is really slow. I get an "error has occured. Send bug report?' message when I try to open AH. I didnt do anything beside install the driver and reset the resolution settings.
What now?

According to Add/Remove Programs, the only driver I have is 2.5.97a.
Or am I supposed to look somewhere else? Sorry, Im not all that tech savvy...

go to start/run  type in dxdiag  let the direct x program run then clic save

now copy and paste the 1st 1/3rd of that notepad dxdiag file here  so we can check out whats happening

The sound card is what came with the computer, which is by no means a gaming computer. Im thinking I may have a virus or two. Ill do a scan in the mornin'.

After restarting my computer, everything runs just as it did.... including my clipboard not working correctly . According to DxDiag Im still running the 2.5.97a driver.

from looking at this part ..i see no display memory .

Is this a laptop ? or a onboard video ?? (Video is built into the mainboard and not on a seperate card )
