First time I ever ventured in there. Lots of fun and definitely sharpens your skills (what few I have). Nice not to be ganged all the time as well. Made a "fresh from the MA" mistake, bounced a P40 that was AFK without firing a warning shot to see if he was in his bird - hard to get out of MA mode right away .
I'll be in there some more and will do my part to keep it fun.

I wouldn't make a habit about firing warning shots. It's a nice gesture, but anybody that goes AFK knows the risk, and some of these guys in the AVA are more than capable of turning the tables and wasting you if you chew their plane up and don't finish them. It's like tapping a blackbelt politly on the shoulder and warning him that you intend to bash his brains in with a bat. You'll find out you should have just swung the bat.
Theres' some real cartoon aces that hangout in the AVA, Platano, Truekill, TheBug, N7, Soulyss, just to name a very few. God help the rest of us if we have to start warning them.
Welcome to the AVA.
