Pretty sure WW's latest testing results (probably almost a year old now, but newer than the info I think is on gonzoville) indicated the flap turning radius of the F6F was now essentially equal to the F4U. Difference under the range of error.

I fly both the F4U and F6F pretty regularly, the F6F does turn essentially identically to the F4U. Seems to hold on to speed more though, you can get the hog slower a lot faster (without popping gear) which tends to make the hog better in a knife fight. At very slow speeds the F6F is a fair amount easier to handle and keep out of trouble but it also doesn't have the huge rudder to ride stalls in the vertical.

Hey I'll tell you, I shot 3 of these bastages down today, and it took ALOT of ammo to do so , so there's another reason why they are so E.

Talking about F6F - I admit, I actually enjoy flying that thing quite a bit

- Good guns (6. 50s = 2400 rounds total)
-Tough plane
-Cockpit view is good

just to name a few

Anyone who uses Wikipedia as an authoritative source for anything is borderline retarded.
