well when they opened it they found about 4 feet of water in the bunker.  If you go to the site and look at the pictures it looks like water seeped in around the top.

It doesnt look like they sealed it very well 50 years ago.  The concrete was supposed to be able to keep water out, treated with some chemical. but the lid probably should have overlaped the top and then came down around the edges and then sealed with foam or rubber to keep water out.   It didnt help it was buried on the courthouse lawn and probably got 50 years worth of sprinkler water...

That's not how I'm going to store my 2008 Shelby GT500KR, that's for sure!

No, not yet.

I'm torn. Which will be more collectible?

The 2008 Shelby GT500KR, the 2008 Shelby GT 500 Super Snake 725hp or the 2007 ROUSH Mustang Stage 3 BlackJack?

Hmmmmmmmmm.... decisions, decisions.

It might actually clean up a little bit, exterior wise anyway.  The car was supposed to have been covered with cosmoline (sp?).

but the rest of the car especially the interior probably didnt have any protection from water at all.

Boyd Coddington and his crew from "American Hot Rod" was supposed to be there to help with the unveiling.

Never look at a car as an investment.  By the time its equity exceeds that of its original cost of purchase (with inflation calculated) you'll be dead. :)
