Good to see 4 Wing and 416 Lynx making the old AW cuts. We still exist, however not here anymore (well...not right now). Good memories of Airwarrior, however I must say...Aces High kicks it's arse.

ManX old bud!  Thanks and I'm glad to know that SKT is alive and well as I was worried about his welfare since he lived in the stricken area in NO, weezieanna.  Tell him I said HI and a lot of his old squaddies are still here.

All the Best...

Well, if this is your criteria....then you are a noob to me, since I was in the alpha. :)

BTW, there were plenty of AW vets here before the AW shutdown.

We =GHOSTS= used + signs in our CPID's, as well.

Nomads were the original +Guys.

There was a bunch that later used +Guy+ and eventually some that used the single + in front.

Caused a bit of confusion when names started showing up that we didn't recognize :)

Its great to be remembered.

I was formerly "Shogun" and I started flying with the Pigs a few months before Confirmed Kill changed its name to Warbirds.

If I can get my kids to give me a little time, I'd love to start flying again, I guess time will tell.

Krusty,
I flew with Nim, he's our old squad's CO's son (Curly) and he was going to law school. He has since graduated, gotten married I believe and now lives in Washington DC. He and most of the old squad went over to play WOW a couple of years ago. I miss a lot of the old guys, AKCurly, AKIron, AKNimitz, AKOwl, the list goes on, all of them are playing WOW now I think.  But the new batch of AK's are just as fair and honest and have resumed  the old tradition of changing countries each month, which gives us an opportunity to get aquainted with and make friends with almost everyone. By the way, a squad I haven't seen mentioned is the 327th, I flew with them in AW1,2 & 3 and now they are here in AH. They are a great bunch of guys and many including Piles have been flying on line longer than I can remember.

umm.... very 1st page of this thread woody......

Quite true. This genre began with Kelton and crew and all roads lead back to those roots. That's not a bad thing though. One history doesn't supplant another, rather they're all part of the same history. From AW onwards these folks have made some pretty important contributions to online gaming, as have the squads and players that supported them along the way.

Until we started taking in true newbies, we always ranked in the top three each month......

We have excellent fighters, bombers, and GV'ers.   We take a lot of real estate in a month.

By the way, we are recruiting  :)
