Please Help With Aces High Error!!!!!!!
« on: July 06, 2007, 10:30:01 PM »
I GREATLY appreciate any help you can give me.

I am not familiar with this game. To make a long story short, I reformatted my general manager's (u can see why I am desperate) computer. He went to install this game (He LOVES to play it, he will be so HAPPY to have it fixed) and he gets this error.

He says he has downloaded the latest video drivers from ati, has windows updated, and obviously has a clean computer. What can it be? How can this be fixed? It does this everytime.

He has already tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and same thing happens every time.

THANKS SO MUCHF OR UR HELP!!!!

oh great. so does it seem like a driver problem? What exactly could he be needing? I am thinking he doesn't have the latest directx installed. could that be causing it?

go to
start / run/ type in Dxdiag

then do a Save file ... it will save it to your desktop ... now copy and paste the 1st 1/3rd of that file here ... you can deleate the computer name if you want ... but the hardware /driver combo is what we need to see to help .... that screen shot doesnt tell us anything .

well it is my GM's computer so I do not have it with me. I will have to do it at his house. Can you tell me what I need to make sure, like some minimum things to run the game? That way I can fix it at his house tomorrow.

800 mhz cpu or better , nvidia or ati card .... sometimes the intel video chipset will work but those are iffy . directX 9.0c , and working sound .

like I said a copy of the Dxdiag file is the fastest way to troubleshoot it .

It looks like it probably a driver problem just from your desktop screenshot.  In the taskbar windows is requiring updates.  Has this computer not been used in a while or was it just recently reformatted or something?  Windows could be wanting to download new drivers that could fix your problem.

this much is ussually enough . all the stuff under these headers in your dxdiag file .  we cant trouble shoot without knowing what video ,sound card and what drivers your running in conjunction with them.
