Hummm...will it be 12 frames running Wednesdays and Weekends?

I thought not... :)  That's what it will take to get the REAL AW-scenario
feeling...that and DoK getting on your case :)

Heh!  We need a rerun of Longbow, I say. :)  The AH scenario player base isn't built up enough yet in its fanaticism -- but my goal is that one day, we can do that.

Heh..i still remember the original MS flight sim with the floppies.  Little + marked your plane and ....  was the bullets.  Started PC flying on GeNie's original AW, flew Warbirds, then came with HT to AH long ago...

I think i reg'd here in '99 with my old handle, 'SpreadEagle' (I died ALOT), then switched to Warspawn...

Started in March of '01. Before that, I played Red Baron when I was...maybe 12/13??? Not really sure how long ago that was hehe.

As per the percentage of old timers, there are very few guys that are still around from one of my original squads, 418 Hornets. Couple guys that used to be in it still play, Busher, SirLoin, occasionally Furball and Lazer. Generally though, there are very few guys in the overall populations that I know have been around for ages. It's good to get shot down by a familiar handle though instead of some zipcode :)

Lazer seems to come around during school months, and then ditches us in summer.  Something to do with "real life" and "outside".  We just think he's a jerk.

Longbow, or rather Longbutt (because we sat the PC so long) as we called it, was great! I really miss the scenarios from AW, the numbers that would turn out for them was incredible to boot.

From the Blue Knights ... let me tell you who are old timers that DON'T fly anymore ...

Badboy58
Icer
CHECKERS
Crapgame
DipStick
Drex
Edbert
Grits
Howitzer
Jigsaw
Kwan
lazs
Leviathn
nopoop
Ouch
Pirate
Recon7
Redd

Morpheus

and there are more ... these are just on the current squad roster.

Some make an appearence here and there, but for the most part ... they just don't fly anymore.

So are you cause or effect?  :D

Started with earliest Air Warrior.  Late '80s I think.  $5 shareware disk.  On line?  What's that?  Internet?  Huh?  $6 an hour plus $8 an hour local long distance to GEnie, FOURTEEN dollars an hour!  Now $15 a month Aces High plus piggyback on cable.  Such a deal.  Don't fly a lot anymore, but glad to support HiTech's genius and the bulletin board community.
