Ever since Ah2.

No it's not the CT light. That does cast a small glow, I think. However, this is a specific cockpit light. Almost every plane has one (not sure, but every one I've flown)

Ive had that happen in film... I was flying in the MA and filming it. It was day. But when I looked at the film in the film viewer, it was night, and it had that light... Here are some pictures captured from the film. This is two seperate films on the Baltic map, from Late War Blue

Note the lead plane lit up, (Myself) in the upper left corner.

It's not a cockpit light. It's just the light from the gear, combat trim, or whatever you have selected. Get in the air and disable combat trim, autopilot/angle, and have your gears up and there will be no light.

I have only seen that happen in the H2H areans and the4n only when its compleatly dark

also correct that you have to have darkness to see the light, which is why it looks so odd.
