Structural damage is not always immediate. 4 hours or 4 days, doesn't matter when a structure has been compromised. Ever hear the noises of your house "settling"? Consider that in a large and compromised structure. Add to that all the heavy equipment being moved INTO that area following the collapse and the vibration effect of heavy equipment being used to search and extricate survivors.
If building #7 was intentionally dropped (I don't remember anything like that though from that day), it was probably because it posed a threat to workers on the rest of the pile in the area and could not be properly shored up (too big a structure to do that with anyways under those circumstances). I know they were pulling people off the pile again and again for safety reasons throughout the recovery effort due to safety concerns for the rescuers (Rule #1, the safety of the rescuers comes first, otherwise you wind up with even more people needing rescued, and fewer people to do it with, and delays the rescue of the first victims even longer).
I'm sure you can follow some other conspiracy theories out there that are harder to so easily discount than any about the Towers on 9/11.
