Wont agree with the bomb & bail doctrin. The question was how do you get the most bang for your buck, most bomb runs in late war are about 4-6 points, how ever shoot down a fighter or two points almost double so stay & fight it wont affect your points if you loose all three planes hit your target shoot down some fighters your points will improve with a fighting attitude not bailing. That is what I have found to work.

it seems to me that bomber points are asigned more or les by accuracy, and what's destroyed than anything else........so if you hit anything....say a city way in the back..not a very important target, but u hit it with good accuracy, you'll do well........

It seems the amount of people logged on also may play a part in the score.  I've noticed I earn more bomber points if my side is out-numbered by the enemy.  I've used the same aircraft and bombed the same target at different times and noticed a differences in the scores. The only difference I could see was that on one flight we were out numbered (I fly Rook) and the other we out-numbered the bad guys.
So if perk points earned is any reflection of damage points then take JU-88s or a flight of Bostons and go to an arena where you are out-numbered.

Some guys just like doing it.   Sometimes, if I am busy, I will set auto climb, come back and bomb, then fly home.   It's fun.

I agree with you on this Talon... but I usually use the 2k eggs in the lancs with the 500lbers.  All I drop is the 2k eggs and hit cities and strat targets.  I did about three or four runs like this last month to hit fuel and troop factories and did one run on the HQ...  Then I went TDY to ALaska for a month... I sat at 9th place in rank for bombers for almost the entire month... So, like you said, strats and towns @ 25k where no one wil bug you.
