I changed my sounds file two times today and everything still sounds the same. I even deleted the old sound file. What gives?

Make sure your new sounds folder is the only one named Sounds. Delete your cache folder. It will rebuild next time you log in.

That's what I did. I made a file called sounds_2 and put Mitsu's soundpack in it. All the sounds work.

My guess is you are still hearing the original AH sounds. Not Mitsu's.

The smart thing to do is make a different folder for your OLD sounds. (A "Slave" folder)

And make the new soundpack with the regular "Sounds" name.
