Wolfala told me exactly the same thing. Unfortunately we don't have Tu-160s flying afterburner at airshows, only in Engels/Samara where they are based... I wonder did they fly over Guam last week or were that good old Tu-95s? ;)

Tu-160 is an amazing airplane.

FrodeMk3, I was asking for some guys who will maybe attend the airshow as aero-space company representatives.

In 2005 we had an American friend here in Msk, he came on Saturday and Sunday was the last Airshow day, so I met him at his hotel at 0800, and brought him there. He said he didn;t expect anything like he saw, said that in the US airshows are usually a few thousand spectators, no more... And he enjoyed the whole show, from antique I-15 aerobatics to Knights.

Boroda: A friend of mine (and me) have actually planned and successfully launched several trips to airshows. Notobly him, but I had my hand in something that turned into several trips to Duxford.
So, if it's not too much trouble, could you tell me more about the one in Moscow? Sounds interesting and I'd love to be there, but this year I won't make it. But always wanted to se Russia, and there is always a next year, so good to start doing homework.
Also, if you do an Atlantic cross, consider a little island in the Atlantic. Rather hospitable folks, at least one ;)

You've never heard the Avro Vulcan then? Now that was a loud plane. Returning to the airshow scene next year too!

B-1B's sound awesome but I still remember the airshows of my youth...the F-101's and F-4's were pretty stinkin loud too.

Most of the Airshows around here draw at least 200,000 spectators. Even the Chino show has close to that number.

I was priviledged to see the SR-71 take off do a fly-by and leave on after burners at the 1987 show at the old Norton AFB. Loudest thing I ever heard.

I know quite a few folks at the Boeing Design Center in Moscow, however I'm sure I would be reprimanded if I suggested that they meet up with Comrade Boroda. :D

I suggest to meet near Tu-160 at 12:00 on Saturday. Tu-160 is a plane that you'll definitely see from a long distance ;)
