The word for today is "separate"
« on: August 17, 2007, 01:42:49 PM »
I'm concerned about the rampant and tortuous misspelling of the word separate.

When you learn to spell separate correctly, doors across the world open up for you. Employers, co-workers, friends, family, your sixth-grade teacher and strangers across the internet stop cringing and no longer consider you a dummy, even if they never told you to your face.

Be someone! Learn to spell separate. I did. After I learned to spell it, I lost weight, male-pattern baldness reversed, I became rich and beautiful, shapely women fawned over me.

The complete 2 DVD set "Spell Separate Correctly in 10 Days" is not available in stores. Just 3 easy payments of $12.95 (plus $9.95 S&H). Don't delay, call today! (not available in CA, TX or CT, some restrictions apply)

If the majority of the people spell separate 'seperate', then the spelling changes to 'seperate'.  Thats how words evolve.

You seem to be adapting to law school very well, neubob. Your family must be so proud of you. Next time I'm near DC, I must remember to invite you for tea with my elderly aunt.

Just remember that separate has "a rat" in it.
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.
