ESPN reporting Michael Vick has copped a plea for 12 - 18 months in Federal Prison.

If he serves half I'd be surprised.

Also, he is 'high profile'  He'll be segregated from General Population and he'll be at one of the country club prisons with all the white-collar criminals.

Vick will serve 18 months and possibly up to 5 years if the judge decides to increase the sentence. He will get at least another year suspension from the NFL. He won't touch a football before 2010.

We'll find out Monday.

He didn't have much choice, the next grand jury was meeting, and they were going to hang a much larger indictment on him, with a lot more charges.

By the way, I'm finally happy with something the NFL has done recently. Vick delayed his decision on whether or not to cop a plea while he tried to get the NFL to tell him what they were going to do if he did cop a plea. The NFL said they'd wait for him to cop a plea or the trial to be over, and he could go pound sand. Too bad the Feds didn't stick to their guns Friday, and tell him that he didn't cop a plea by the dead line and the deal was off. THAT would have been REALLY impressive.
