In the TE, the overview map (that displays the equivilent of the in-game map in the AH FE) can be adjusted via the scroll wheel to various eye-point heights above the terrain, in order to facilitate navigating about the terrain.
However, many (maybe most?) laptops do not have a scroll wheel analog - or in the case of my laptop, the "virtual scroll" that it does have doesn't work with the overview map. And in many instances connecting another device that has a scroll wheel is impractical, especially if you are taking advantage of the portability of a laptop.
Please consider adding an alternative method of adjusting the eye-point height of the overview map (perhaps using the "shift" modifier as does the edit window?).
This is of more importance than you might think, because often times when positioning the terrain in the edit window using the mouse it will "jump" to a point dramatically different than your work area (especially when you have positioned the edit window eyepoint to an altitude and pitch that allows you to better see the variations in your terrain), and it can be very time consuming to determine where you've been jumped to and return to your work area - and extremely frustrating when as you are repositioning after your return, it jumps again.
On my desktop, the jump is no big deal because I can easily scroll wheel out to a sufficient height to see where I am and move back. Not so on the laptop.
and TIA.
