"Mystery Fog"
« on: September 17, 2007, 09:31:39 PM »
This afternoon and evening were invaded by mystery fog.

Knights were attempting to take P14 in LW and the enemy cv was shrouded in mystery fog down to 100 feet.

The only folks who seemed to be adversely effected were knights attempting to re-claim the base.

On the other side of the map....

Knights were shrouded from the rooks cv by the same low-level mystery fog.

If we're up against another obstacle other than being always outnumbered...please let us know.

Please advise us that the game is in an inside way against us.

Or at least explain how the mystery fog comes up magically to help our enemies.

At least explain how weather effects all adversely, and not just one side.

Unexpected mystery fog below 14,000 to protect one side against another seems to be a real fog of biased play.

In any event, the thick fog below 14,000 is total BS...

Make weather equal or die as a game.

Are you suggesting somehow that HTC is biased against the Knights?

That's about all I can figure from what you wrote.  Your implication is the other team didn't have the same fog to deal with.

Wouldn't the fog make it hard for anyone?  You might see the same argument from the other side, Hey HTC, what the heck man?  We were trying to keep a base we took and the fog was so thick we couldn't see squat?  Whats up?  Are you trying to side with the Knights and make it difficult on us?

Equal, like That?

This was a new feature linked to ENY HTC introduced a while back.  I forget the post, but you can search 'Fog' or 'Fog of War' or something like that...

My guess is that nits ENY was ridiculously high and so the "Fog of War" rolled in to equalize things for rooks and bish.

You could've just switched sides or moved to a different arena.

I thought FOG was suppose to be low lying, right?

below 14,000 ft?   if it is at / above then it would be SMOG I presume?

Once upon a time a very nasty dragon used to ravish the land, eating all the sheep and making living hard for the locals.  So the village folk clubbed together and hired a brave Knight called Sean Connery who was actually in league with said dragon.  Twas some kind of scam I believe to screw the villagers outta everything they owned but some chick got in the way of the deal.   Anyways long story short Connery gets the chick and the dragon lays eggs in our port.  When it gets to noisy the dragon lays a screen down.....the dragons breath.  The dragon has sworn never to hurt people again and the dragons breath makes life a little difficult to see, so people especially noise ones leave.

It's not fog it's the dragons breath.

Hey Rox...you just discovered that 3 ports have fog on Smpizza? It's been there all the time!

At the start of the map, one port for each country has fog. I know the schedule for when it rolls in and how long it lasts, but I won't tell. :t

Oh..I almost forgot. The fog goes down to the deck in many places...not 100 feet. :)
