well before AH i grew up hearing about the p51, it was my favorite as a kid but in AH, i must say the hurri 2c is amazing,
i know most hate it but the LA7 is also awesome i think that it is the all around best plane in game, for dogfighting. and being in a heavily out #erd situation.

but my all time favorite is the p 40  its by far the coolist looking ww2 fighter  IMHO

     all prop fighters are awesome.

1. Mosquito
The most unique and wonderful plane ever. Unique concept, design, material and usage. I mean, what the heck is it? unarmed-bomber / attack / fighter, day and night? with a crew of two sitting side by side? built by piano and furniture factories?!
Served in the IAF too.

2. Hellcat
First model plane I built when I was very young. 1:32 scale, that I got for my birthday and didn't even know nor care what kind of plane it was. Only much later, watching the poorly glued model gathering dust on my shelf I got curious as to what it was and started reading. This plastic model sparked my interest in aviation so I have a deeply embedded fond for the kitty.
That hideous model is still in my parents house.

3. Thunderbolt
Ugly, ungainly, shadowed by the over glorification of the P51. I tried it our in AH after a few months in the game without knowing too much about it and got hooked. That was about 5 years ago and it is still my main ride.
Mosquito VI - twice the spitfire, four times the ENY.

I like all of them really, every plane has something fun about it that makes me want to fly it. On any given night I'll fly as many as 10-15 different planes. Its not unusual for me to fly a different plane every sortie. My two favorites if I was forced to pick would be the Ki-84 and the P-40.

My favorite World War II fighter has always been the P-47.

In AH2, though, I have found that my favorite ride is the Hurri I, just because it is ideally suited for the kind of fighting I most enjoy (you know, where you're close enough that you're firing your revolver out of the cockpit, and the other guy is throwing rocks back at you?).  In practice, I don't get to fly it much, because we switch the plane sets around all the time in AvA.

When i first joined Warbirds, bout 11 years ago, joined a Hellcat squad
VF-33 Starfighters, always liked Blue planes as a kid also

as far as the game goes, Im about 70% toolsheder- 30% Furballer
and the Hellcat does both quite well, so if i could only fly one plane
 F6F-5

the squad ive been in the last 7 years (367th) historicly flew jug D40's
which i think may be the best Jabo AC in the game, but i have a tough time dancin in it, I'd make that my #2

Hard to choose one.  I like a number of planes for various reasons.

If I had to choose only 1, I probably pick the A20.

Its can hold its own in a dogfight when ords gone and fuel 50% or lower, vs GVs it can be a nightmare...for them.  Its can take some hits and is fun to fly for me.

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.

I change favorites occasionally, for the first year or so I was a die-hard 109er (G6 is my favorite, especially when its got yellow crosses :) ).

Then I joined the 80th and flew the P-38J almost exclusively for quite a while (I never really liked the L and the G is just too slow for my tastes).

Although more often than not, I ended up like this.

Now I'm in the 4th and am a rabid P-51B driver, even though I waste its high-alt advantage by insisting on flying as low as I can possible get...

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

1.109-G6  I think has to be one of the best all around fighters in AH2. I also love the spanish skin on it :D
2.F4U (all models)  One of the most deadly aircraft on the deck. With flaps out on this bird, i could turn with an F22 :D
3.Hurricane2C  Love the aircraft, can turn on a dime, good armament, good ammo if you can fly it right
4.Ki-84/Ki-61  2 best Japanese aircraft in this game (in my opinion), if not on par with say a Spit in turnfighting.
5.P-51  Great payload, good armament, one of the best dogfighters above 15 k
6.P-38J/L  Great B-n-Z aircraft, not the best in a turnfight though. All models carry a great payload.
And last but not least.....
7.Mosquito  God i live this thing for porking runs, vulching, townkilling, dogfighting.....

1. HOing
2.Vulching
3.fighting
4. BnZing

just easy to stall at low speed. I if you can handle that then you are one of the best pilots in the game.
