The Native Americans are not the only people in this country who are citizens.

Whats wrong is this little salamander has been arming insurgents since we got there, probably a thousand dead GI's thanks to IED's made in Iran. They stated out with the occasional 155mm arty shell, NOw they have scientifically shaped-charges that can even take out our newest APC's, to say NOTHING of Iran buying sniper rifles from Austria and giving them to afore-mentioned insurgents

You're missing the point, our foreign policy is failing.  It doesn't matter if your friends or your family has strong attachments to Israel.  Nor does it matter if a man refused to respect the sacrifices of those who died fighting the holocaust.  NO FOREIGN ENTANGLEMENTS.  Thomas Jefferson said this hundreds of years ago, are you doubting his intelligence?  I think his logic and his thoughts matter more to this nation than your friend's or family's love or support for Israel.  They hate us because we support the state of Israel, because we meddle in their affairs.  The more we do it the more we feed the fire.  It's people that want to instill their will on others and force America to support a nation overseas that they like that is leading this nation down a dangerous path.  Every war Israel gets dragged into causes us to get dragged in along with it.  Israel is not the United States of America, their affairs are none of our business.

Let's face it, we didn't have as much dissent against our nation (if any) before we started getting involved in foreign entanglements and started policing the world, calling the shots on how the world should be.  If you want to see an example of neutrality in action look at Switzerland.   What do I know though, I guess it's better if we keep getting dragged into wars that our not any of our business.  I guess it doesn't matter if more American boys and girls have to die for other nations.

And lastly, Columbia University is a private institution.  They have a right to invite or reject anyone from speaking on their campus.  They can't be forced to do so.

[EDIT] Don't think I think Iran's President is some great guy.  He has said a lot of out there stuff but just because he has differing opinions from many world leaders doesn't make him a criminal or doesn't justify his assassination or even, god forbid, war against Iran.  Many people are using the same logic to say that our President, George W. Bush, should be arrested and is a criminal.  It isn't right either way but the bottom line is I respect someone's right to have their own opinion without being oppressed for feeling that way.  No one is forcing you to adopt their opinion.

what can cause this much hate in a person towards a nation and a people i will never know, i dont get you soviet and believe you should walk a day in someone elses shoes but your own.

Hi.

I never understood why the western media compare Mr. Ahmadinedjad with Mr. Adolf Hitler. But in these days of black and white thinking the so called intellectuals cant use any other comparison of enemy leaders than the good old devil Hitler.
Saddam was a second Hitler, Bin Laden was called a second Hitler and now Mr. Ahmadinedjad. A little bit boring but also dangerous, because a minor character like Mr. Ahmadinedjad is made to something important by comparing him with a major historical person like Mr. Hitler.

Mr. Ahmadinedjad is not the ruler of Iran. Not the iranian president rules the country but the so called Council of the Guardians.

When Mr. Ahmadinedjad made a law, which allowed women and men to visit together soccer games, this law was not accepted by the Council and so failed.

So much about his power. He is surely not a mighty dictator like Mr. A. Hitler or Mr. S. Hussein or others who had absolute power.

Also iranians are not against jews. Or at least the vast majority are not against jews. Obviously every nation has a small percentage of idiotic jew-haters - even Israel, where some weeks ago israeli Nazis (strange) were arrested by israelian police.

Iran is 2500 years old and in all this time a part of the iranians were jews and were and are considered as iranians.

The iranian constitution defines the follwing groups as true believers: muslims, christians, jews and zoroastrians. All these 4 groups have a guaranteed seat in the iranian parliament. And in Teheran a new synagoge (I hope the word is correct) was built and the jewish hospital in Teheran receives money from the state.
Not a typical behavior of a Hitler-ruled-contry.

No iranian politician - including Mr. Ahmadinedjad - has ever said that Iran would or should destroy or kill jews. Also not that Iran would destroy Israel.

If you find a statement where he said that Iran should attack or destroy Israel please send me a link. But not one of the wrong translations like MEMRI or other propaganda sites. I would prefer the original farsi text so I can check if he was really so stupid to say something like this.

Actually Mr. Ahmadinedjad is losing in the iranian inner politic. He lost last years important elections and his re-election is very doubtful.
So he is trying to make a great PR-show. And the whole thing yesterday will help him in his own propaganda.

I checked iranian news who perverted the whole events of yesterday.

So it was IMHO a big mistake to invite him to the university. It was obvious that despite everything what happened yesterday (even the funny homosexual statement) or vould happen yesterday the team around Mr. Ahmadinedjad would create a propaganda report to manipulate the people home in Iran. Especially those who would elect him. Not the middle-class of the iranians who could use the Internet to find out what really happened but the poorer people who will believe what the national news agency tell them.

Mr. Ahamadinedjad should be isolated. No interviews - like done on US-TV. No international visits. OK - I understand that the UN is a special case - but by making such a PR-hype you help his propaganda machine.

It would have been much better if he had been completely ignored by the news agencies and not interviewed and shown like a TV-star.

you sir are correct about some things but totally wrong about others, A: iranians do hate jews, jews that reamin in iran are jailed and or killed, i dare any jew to walk the streets with a star of david around thier neck.

B: the "israeli" nazis where actually all russians playing the poor imigrent role, guess what we have hundreds of thousand russian non jewish immigrants that falsify thier papers to make them seem jewish.

C: the president of iran made a direct threat to erase israel of the map(not something new:rolleyes: )

D: You are speaking from the exterior as i see by your location what is your knowledge of inter iranian politics that you can give such detail about how he is losing the iranian public,  by the videos i have seen of the rallys he has held he is definatly not losing them.
