Your constant posting in a condescending and demeaning tone makes it obvious you don't know what the AvA could be.

Tiger and toonces, please take no offense but do either of you even fly the ava? Toonces maybe but tiger are you even a subscriber, i have never seen you fly...anywhere.  I believe poeple whohave spent many hours in the ava should be the ones influencing the shape of the new ava.

Freeze, yes I do spend some time in there, but not nearly as much as Dedalos or Oldman or Simaril, or others.

I agree that the regulars should have more of a say as to what the AvA could/should be.

As a paying subscriber, though, I think I deserve to have a fun flying experience as much as anyone.

Dedalos, I wasn't referring to you as a resource.  AvA is a waste of HTC's resources, whatever those are, to have one of 8 arenas catering to 300 or so players, of whom maybe 200 are in enough to even have a rank.

You're absolutely right in that AvA, in its current state has everything I want, except the attitude that exists in there...  and people.  Get 50 in there every night, and I'll never fly anywhere else.

Over and over and over you see the same discussion that devolves to 'I want to fly in AvA, but there's never anyone in there.'  And we get the same answers as to why, and posts like this ask why, and when anyone tells you why, you don't want to hear it.

This isn't getting anywhere, and never does.

I'll see you when I see you.

Just my 2 cents, but if the intent of the AvA room is to be a furball arena with appropriate aircraft sets.  Why worry about maps, objectives, etc, at all?  Just pick the aircraft, put two airfields 10 miles apart and have at it.

That is one thing that really threw me for a loop when I came over to AH, I assumed that the AvA was intended to be a more "historically correct" arena.  I ended up getting a bunch of people ticked off at me before I clued in to that it was just a furball arena.

The problem is that people can furball just as easily in any of the main arenas.  Just having realistic aircraft sets doesn't differentiate it enough, and in general most furballers don't care about that anyway.

I polled my squad this past week to see if there was interest in using the AvA as a base for our squad nights and the interest is there if something like ROC's plan is implemented. There's nothing for us in what the AvA is now.

Exactly!  What is it that we want changed?  That is what I am asking.  I don't want to hear how it could be another MA.  I know it can.  Its obvious.  What do you want changed?  What do people mean when they say historical?

I just don't understand the need to change something to something we already have 4 times.

You see why?  You just posted another bla bla bla bla bla but no answer.

What would be more historical?  It already is!  What do you want to see?  What could the AvA be?  Tell me and maybe I will like it.

Sorry if I don't see the point of creating a 5th MA
