There is a big common misconception. Avoiding fights does only help your bomber rank, and to a small part your attack rank.

To get a high fighter rank, you HAVE to engage the enemy.

Currently we have few real fights in EW. Most action is done by secret GV sneaks and cruiser bombardement with sudden LVT rushes. When people are looking for fighter kills, they are going to LW, because fighting in EW is much more "risky" in some ways.

My proposal may give some people more reasons to fight in EW & MW.



At this point I would like to emphasize again that the upcoming score split as such is a fine thing to me and I am happy about it. My overall rank proposal is just meant as a possible minor addition.

That's the problem, Lusche, this is just part of the situation. Yes, you have to engage. No, you don't have to FIGHT. The truth is, if you care about your ranking, you'll just do whatever you can to boost your kills minimizing your deaths... and we all know what that means.... vulching, picking, running... that's why I think an overall rank would do no good.

Btw, I know you like the idea of separate scores, you were the one who started this thread My only objection is to what you proposed later. I think that the best gift we can have from HTC is no ranking at all.

If you are too much into picking & running, your k/h will be real lousy. And unless you are a pure primetime player, good vulching opportunities are not that numerous. (Especially not in the EW arena)

You guys have brought up good points !

In my opinion, real good long scraps are found in Mid and Early war...
M'not saying it doesn't happen in the other arenas !
Early and Mid war have less numbers. Often when you encounter your adversary, the odds are often fair. (1 vs 1 or 2 vs 3)
Now your skills are tested !
As for other arenas, you have a different style of fighting.(Often furballs)
Different skills are applied.... (S.A and Zoom and Boom etc....)

I'm hoping to see those top ranked fighters come and fight in the Early and Mid arenas. I've fought against some of them(In Mid). The pilot had 400 kills+.
The scrap was over and done within 20seconds. I returned to base without even being pinged.... I investigated further to see that the same pilot was flying fast planes "zoom and boom" only.
He obviously was inexperienced when the situation turned into a "turn" and "stall" fight. Never saw him again. Must of hurt his pride. I'm just an average pilot....

Time will give us answers ! I'm anxious !

Why can't a pilot chose at the start of the tour if he wishes to post his scores on the scoreboard ?
That score system is making players do and say dumb things !

sounds good to me  (what you may ask) heck if i know
i fly bombers in some arenas, and not so mush in others, yet my score aint that great, or that bad, nor any different than before. only thing milking has let me do is encrease base captures and thats a score builder for me but i waste those points in other arenas doing stupid (and or fun stuff)
things i would not do if i were a true score monger. i might try harder to get a good score in one arena now and goof off somewere else. i just hope e and m war doesnt suffer.over all i think it will be a good thing!(but then what does he know!!).
