Discussion about 'Dolts' on the road.

As a delivery driver I see this stuff everyday. I love how my professional driving skill always is avoiding a collision from other peoples mistakes but always think it is funny the times I jump in quick take off and say oops I made a mistake better look in my mirror(or some other thing like that), better stop first and check(there is always someone right in that spot where you cant go further without causing a collision) and sure enough before the mistake goes into a dangerous area I correct but there is always some dumb citizen who then slams on their brakes and thinks they are a l33t driver.

One funny is once this chick waves me down. "Do you know how fast you are going there are children on this road!":furious  as a matter of fact I did know how fast I was going 18 in a 25 plus it was a wide suburben subdivision road with no cars parked on the side so ideal conditions. Anyways the other day I saw this chick come up to a T intersection in her Canyonero, not even look towards oncoming traffic, namely me. and pull out and go at least 35 in said 25  zone. I doubt she could stop that Ford Behemoth withen 1/4 mile at 35.

Here is something while far from the stupidest happened just a night ago. I turn off the Interstate bridge onto SR14 there is a minivan about 3 carlengths in front. He is going about 40 which is ok and I maintain my distance. I notice this orange crap hanging out his window. I think maybe it is his sleeve catching the streetlight? No its sparks, he has his cig hanging out. then he tosses it the dirty pig, it flys straight at my grill so I go around it and decide to go around him now as the onramp has merged and there is no traffic. So I signal. Drop a gear into my Bunnys sweet spot and I go from 45-60(the limit) in the time it takes to say it and go around him. He is the type that thinks whatever speed he goes is max so I see it in his mirror as he look right at me and yanks his crap US minivan in front of me without signaling. No matter I am already stable in my new lane quick AH honed reflexes show no traffic for 100s of meters so I signal back and go around him in his former lane before he even has his wheel straightened out from whipping over as I go by.

My leet fighter pilot reflexes kept us from colliding but on reflection I wish I'd been in a hurry and had really pulled the wheel left as I sometimes do when making turns.  I'd have hit his right rear quarter panel and he'd have spun out hard while I'd have merely lost the front of my car.  It probably would have demolished both of our cars, at which point I'd pretty much have my way with him in court.  My car would have been covered by my own insurance, so the court settlement would be pretty much everything he owned into my pocket for reckless endangerment, assault, pretty much anything else I could think of.  If I'd lost any work, the govt might have taken a piece of him too.

As it was, we missed by maybe an inch and he sped off down the road unscathed.  What a tard.

Being a duty driver for my duty section for the base for awhile I had ALOT of these moments. Except I was driving a giant white van with government plates. So many times after saving myself from a collision from the stupidity of others I thought to myself, if he/she woulda hit me NCIS would be all over the civilian. I could be home taking in medical pay. And living off that persons salary for awhile. But I never did. Some other civilian will hit him/her and get the money instead. Let them fight it out in court.

University Drive in Fargo ND, 3 lanes of traffic, all one way, I'm in the far left lane, he's in the far right lane.

All of a sudden he realizes that he wanted to stop at a gas station on my left.

Without signaling he jerks the wheel, crossing three lanes of 35mph traffic, just missing my right front bumper as he slides into the gas station. And then gives me a dumb "huh, what'd "I" do" look as I lay on the horn and flip him off.

People up here seem to have forgotten why cars come with turn signals.
I can only hope that he does that again some day in front of an 18 wheeler and ends up as peanut butter.

I'm one of the dolts on the road, I think. Before I had children, each road was a nascar track.  As soon as I had kids, I'm total granny-driver. Always using blinkers, staying under the speed limit, the whole nine. Anyhow, I know it annoys folks all the time that I drive the speed limit  & stop at a light when it turns yellow instead of barreling through the intersection.  Sheesh! How dare I be in the way on their road?

She instead rides on 22" rims, back filled with subs, pink fuzzy  interior, black tinted windows, lowered to street level, hydraulics, and a air horn attached to the roof.
