Lancaster's operated at night. Their typical alt was 19k weather permitting. They didn't fly in formation and approached in a stream.
Some notorious missions did go in low but they suffered heavy losses. These types of mission were far and few between. Some and mean SOME of the elite path finders did mark targets with flairs from as low as 500 feet but they were the except rather than the rule.
As for being ranked 18th in bombers that's more to do with captures than suiciding towns, hangers, GV's and my pet hate suiciding CV's.

I do use bombers in the day some are lancs but now that I see i'm doing it wrong i will only fly them at night and high unless I have flares of course.

You should have
really read them first before you posted. If you did you would have seen I was referring to the runners, hiders and pickers in this game. They do nothing to help the country and only worry about themselves because they don't want to risk being killed and lowing their scores. As i've said before, you don't need to use these cowardly tactics to obtain a decent rank but it's your 15 bucks, play it the way you want. I will continue to dive bomb towns and gv's as I see fit to help my country acquire bases and win the map, if we should be so lucky.
I'm not sure i ever seen lanc's dive on a CV but i do know low bombers on one have little chance if gunned and has air cover. Getting away with that takes a lot more skill than either of us have and maybe should be commended. LOL
