Oh Crap...

I was gonna come here and post how i whished I had been there..

But it looks like (from the couple of threads i have read on this page) that its gone to the dogs... that people are more interested in screaming that they lost cause rules were broken, that leadership was poor... ect ect

Somone please tell me if I should bother reading through the whole thread will I find my dismay to be baseless or will i just feel disallusioned and disappointed that the MA has come to the SEA...

God I had fun in the sea... Tell me is the fun still there ?

I'd fly in it anyways :lol

Come on in :)

I would say that 250+ players had a blast in frame 2.

The small handfull that have posted neg. remarks are bar far the minority.

Scenarios are amazing, wonderfull fun things to participate in.

Sceanrios are amazing, often in the little places that wouldn't seem to matter.

In one practice frame, turnout was low enough that my unit got tagged with ASW/Detch's. He had us spawn from the hangar, then use the taxiways to line up on the runway, without running into other planes (even though friendly collisoins were off). Then, we took off in turns, in two ship elements, and formed up in correct positions off the leader.

MAN! I ahve never had such an immersive experience! All those engines, the planes weaving from side to side to keep vis on the taxiway, waiting for my turn to launch, Punching the throttle with ASW to my left....I've never felt as much imaginary deja vu.

Sounds corny, but it gave me shivers feeling jsut a fraction of what it must have been like, and even some butterflies in the stomach about what was to come.

You just CAN"T get that in MA. So yeah, scenarios are worth it, even when the "points" don't go the way you want. Whether you're into the long periods of boredom with high cover, or the sheer terror of diving a 190 into a cloud of enemies hoping to get a buff down before screaming through the pack...there's nothing like it.

As a lowly walkon pilot I was bored out of my skull. It was like flying off-line!

Our Gruppen had now idea of the overall situation. This was probably due the the leadership not having a clue as to what was happening.

I rememer a principal from the Army's Basic Non-Commisioned Officer Course that states that a good leader always keeps his superiors and subordinates informed... Based on my day, this flow of information broke  down at all levels of command on the axis side.

The Axis "Plan" was flawed in it's conception and bungled in it's execution, in my humble opinion.

This exercise was a demonstration of a TOTAL intellengence failure! The Allied bomber force was able to fly to their targets UNMOLESTED!!!!!!!! Why was this allowed to happen? The ENTIRE command and staff of the axis side should be transfered to the Infantry on the Eastern Front. Hermann is laughing from hell that our sim staff couldn't protect the fatherland any better than he and the OKL did in 1944!

Remember the 6 "P" principal:

PUBLIC APOLOGY!
Sorry about my harsh words... I do tend to get caught up in the moment and was a little miffed that the Axis side didn't do so well last Saturday. I dislike loosing and tend to gripe when I do. Sorry again. I would have removed my post but the time limit for editing had passed. So Fester and Bearkat please accept my most sincere apology, I know that you guys did the best you could given the circumstances. Please do not alter the CnC for frame 3... Let's kick some allied butt with the same team from the first 2!:aok
