Avengers setting up camp
« on: October 23, 2007, 08:47:18 PM »
Ok guys, we have finally got most of the bugs worked out of our computers and adjusted to the flight models in here.  We have jumped around a little in the arenas getting the feel of things, but we seem to find the Allied vs Axis arena set up a little closer to what we are used to flying in.  We will have our squad nights at 7PM Central time on every Monday and Thursday; feel free to either wing with us or shoot at us on those evenings.

I agree, generally a good group of players.  I did notice that some of you boys may be a bit thin skinned.  this may be a bad thing when coupled with your gameplay style, your over lack of polish in the skill the skill department and then engaging truekill on 200.

you gents will need to work on the latter two if you expect to survive the rough and tumble world of an AvA furball and 200 match.

yet to come is if I weigh in with my ascerbic wit and penchant to cause trouble but so far I haven't felt the need as TK is holding his own very well.

atta boy TK.

You are right Storch. Avengers have plenty to work on. In WB's we were a feared squad and I have no doubt that in AH we will also prevail...in time. Our lack of polish in regard to skill is a direct factor of difference in FM's...and such was to be expected. As for the thin skin and the bantering with truekill....that is not thin skin...and I think I made it clear that I was enjoying the "back and forth" on 200 as much as I was enjoying the sim overall. That is part of the game....Personally, I like TK's "no care" attitude. He does what he wants....the sign of confidence. We were all laughing on TS at our responses on 200....it was not thin skin at all. It was entertainment.
Now, as for our plans in AvA. I dont get what the problem is. We came in last night, planned a mission where no one was, upped our heavies and went at it. It was YOU GUYS that decided to up and defend. It was not as if we saw where a furball was and decided to interfere. Heck, we were at the field for a while before anyone on your side rolled. So I dont understand what the pronblem is. Why couldnt you guys ignore us and do your own thing anywhere else on the map, as opposed to defending and then complaining that we were interfering with the dogfights? Big map gentlemen.....no reason to clog one little area...unless of course you want to defend...and believe me, that would be welcomed by the avegengers....but it is strictly your choice. So please....tell me.....how is it that our game play is interfering with your game play? To be honest, I seem to think that you guys are happy to defend....perhaps a welcome change to your otherwise boring, morgue-like arena?
Wisen up fellas.....We are bringing good stuff to the arena. Enjoy it. Are we great yet? No way....but in time we will be worthy of your defense, and you will enjoy every minute of it. Oh yeah...and if you are naive enough to up a field with all ack shot out that is being capped...you will be shot down beofre your wheels leave the RW. Call it vulching or whatever you want...I see it not as a means of an easy kill...I see it as a necessity to capture a field. BTW....when we want kills, we look for dogfights...when we are taking territory, we dont give a rats butt about kills. We kill to acheive success of the mission.
Truekill....this is to you....Had a great time going back and forth with you last night. No hard feelings I hope? Certainly none on my end.

Thanks Oldman, I'll pass that along to Tj; you know he just got back with us after a 6 month leave status.  LOL we even switched flight sims while he was gone and he still found us, we had to give him all his stuff back.

Storch, beware of any of my guys that appear to be thin skinned, as he is more than likely just shedding his skin.  You keep an eye on your buddy TK, he'll be running around in crotchless panties with an "I LUV AVENGERS IN THE AVA ARENA" tatoo on his bellybutton before ya know it.

Just realize one thing guys....yes, the avengers are noobs in this arena. When we become non noobs (not sure what to call it...seems to me that maybe boobs fits the bill :lol ) we will not be a bunch of vulching gang bangers as you seem to fear. Instead we will be a polished, well organized, squad of non gamers that will ensure the intgrity of the arena and enhance the entertainment for all. We did it in the WW2 arena in WB's and we will do it in the AvA arena in AH. As for Truekill and his crotchless panties....I did a low flyby when he was sitting in a tiger on our spawn point....he mooned me as I went by and it reminded me of the horrible moment when I was a kid when I accidentally walked in on my grandmother in the bathroom as she was climbing into the tub.....ugh, I shudder when I think of it. Sorry trukill.....panties aint your style....better consider the full boxers....:lol

Hi Flozer, the AvA is more like the old WWII arena than the main arenas due to the rolling plane sets, just like we used in the WWII Arena.  There is usually a more discipline crowd in there as well, not to mention some very good sticks.  We fly in the AvA Arena every Monday and Thursday Night, just like we did in the old WWII Arena, and we are having a lot of fun in there.

You guys need to pop in and either wing up with us or shoot at us just like old times.  It's good to see a lot of the old established squads make the move over to here; Avengers, Parrots, and now, Tropical Thunder.  We even have a few Ferrets that are looking to fly with us for a while and give it a try.

Pop in on this coming Wednesday Night; I'm looking to get a few of the guys in for a little furballing exercise as well as run a few new guys through the ropes.
