well since i got a crappy headset and mic external engine noise will actually feed back into my mic and makes it sound like im talking threw a lawnmower.
I do keep external sounds at normal though so that I can hear enemy planes.
I still remember the part where it is a game, and I like to watermelon chat, go over stratagy and generally TALK TO MUCH while im in the air near a combat zone.
I get caught sleeping alot befor I get ready to enter a fight by a high cherry picker waiting for the incoming enemys.
I dont really mind so much but my main point is if my internal engine noise was normal then i would not be able to talk at all without causing distortion.
I have the weirdest problem with my MIC, i have to mute and unmute it approx. 3 times in the sound properties each time i boot up to get it to work.
I just like my stuff to work right, and if it dont work right then i made do with what i got. I have to pretty much turn down any CONSTANT sound while im playing. for example, STALL, Engine, tread, wake, wind.
All of them play havoc with my ears and my mic. so they got to go.
