I've always questioned why have small number cap, but stuffed into smaller rooms (maps). It's just as crowded.:huh

There is a simple way around this, and it only takes a few minutes to get into the packed arena. Just "quit" out to the primary AH screen, log back in, and recheck the desired arena. If the number is still too high, quit again and log back in.  Rinse and repeat. It's essentially manual redial for the busy number.

What happens is that SOMEBODY is always about to log off, and that will briefly put the number below the cap. The next person to query the system will get in...and by redialing, you're more likely to be that person. Only time this doesnt work is after the other arena resets, and the very low numbers throw the desired arena's cap into the subbasement. That evens out as well, but usually takes longer than I like to wait. Byt the time one sortie's done, though, I can get back to where I want to be.

i understand, but is still the worst change and a huge step back ,in the evolution of this great game, i would pay 150$ monthly for this game to see the old MA back, with 500-700-1000 players in same arena, huge fights, furballs ,missions and the ``win war goal``in one arena back like used to be before,
It`s not fun  trying hopeless to log in the most populated arena full with 120 caps,  when are 150 players combined , and being dumped in an almost empty arena

The arena limits are governed as follows: As an example, if the Orange arena reaches a certain percentage of its maximum capacity, the server will adjust the Blue arena limit to a higher number. When the Blue arena reaches a certain percentage of its limit, then the Orange arena limit is raised. Conversely, the arena limits are also reduced in the same manner.[/i]

what gets me is : Orange arena reaches a certain percentage of its maximum capacity, the server will adjust the Blue arena limit to a higher number

so if orange is almost full or OVER FULL.. and blue is empty.. they will raise the limit in blue... in the EMPTY arena..

so orange is at 230/220 and blue is at 4/120. so the system will raise them limit in blue to 220 but leave orange alone..

:huh

I'm split on this issue I understand why they did it but sometimes it can be annoying.  Especially when after a great deal of effort to reset the uterus map, the tour change reset back to the same stinkin map!

I agreed with it at the start but I think a week long poll would give some hard data on who wants what.  We all know the BBS is a small % to that who actually play.

A poll doesnt mean you have to change anything just a gauge of your customers expectations!

The biggest LW Cap problem occurs in the mid morning to afternoon US eastern time.

1 LW has its Cap @ 200 or 250, the other the same i think or less. almost everyone in LW arenas is 1 arena, and about 10 20 in the other. Then comes the daily cap kickin about 1pm eastern US time. the LW arenas go
from 250 down to 120 and 180,  with 120 being the most populated room, still 200  or more in it. the other LW having usually around 20.

with the cap kick in, now new people logging in are stuck with  a choice, of 3 arenas with 20 or less people or log off. it usually on avg takes 3 to 4 hours for the low LW to populate enough to make fights worth going and/or upping caps to allow you to go in either LW.

so if ur playing in the populated room and have to log for a sec or get booted or game crashes, ur  FEEKED for the 2 or 3 hours for the other LW
to catch up.  this is bad treatment of AH paying customers.

Maybe setup some code, where if ur in a arena and log out/crash out/boot
AH gives you 5 mins or so mins that you can log back on and be able to
go back into the same arena reguardless of Cap. If you go to another arena or take longer then 5 mins then ur spot in the arena is deleted.

and also maybe need to put in a time out for people who log in to a arena, and go afk forever. maybe 10 15 min timer, if you havent flown or GV, in that time, and/or maybe go by controller inputs of KD/joystick. it boots you .out for inactivity.

I do not post many times, but here i fully go with Bruv and have to comment this.

Also understanding the thought behind split arenas, but this feature is really hurting gameplay - do not ignore that please.

Flown on and off from 2002 in AH, i liked EW - MW - LW the most. There everyone found his game 24 / 7.

With all respect, i think this needs to be examined if it is possible server-wise.
