As the person who did 95% of the missions / campaigns in AWII and AWIII thanks for the compliments!

I liked the VF-10 campaign, the "save the US" mission, the shoot down of Yammamoto, and of course the VF-17 campaign best myself.  Oh and of course the 4th FG one.

The names of the innocent and the guilty have not been changed.
As for the innocent, everyone needs to know they are innocent –
As for the guilty… they can suck it.

ROX,

If you have Easy CD Creator or Nero Burning Rom there are options to rip the CD to an ISO, BIN or CUE file, all of these are CD image formats.

If you don't have either of these PM me.

Don't forget Aces Over Europe.  I found a website that had them for download, never did get them running though.

is it safe to ask for an ISO or a RAR file of a game, even though another company owns the rights to it, dare I say the name of that awful company.......

I run old Airwarrior for DOS using DOSBOX - works great!

An actual straight burn worked fine.

I cannot find an option on my basic Nero about turning it into a .rar file.

I'd love to do that, and then host it as a downloadable file on my webspace off my website.

Let me know where in basic Nereo to transform it to a .rar file.

Thanks!

.rar is just a form of compressing the file, like .zip.

.zip would probably work just as well.

Create the .iso and save it to your HD, then zip the .iso file.

Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

AW was better outside of the game than inside. The community was 10x what this community is, not only because it was smaller, but because people actually took the time out to learn, teach, and make friends. We have that here in AH, but no where near like in AW. It was nothing to sit in the OC with 10-15 people and just BS the night away, and sometimes that was more fun that flying. I do salute those are have tried and are trying to bring that to AH.

Now the game itself.. definitely AH over AW. Graphics, plane selection, flight model. However AW didn't have HO'n dweebs (because of the infamous "hit bubble", rams, and AW did have a LOT better fights for the most part :)

You are absolutely right there PK1!  I still remember our first engagements in AW in my 109.  You were inquisitive and a quick learner and became a great pilot.  I do miss AW because the interaction and mutual respect was far greater than here.  I guess it's because a new generation doesn't care about respect as our generation does.

All the Best...

Our fights in AW were a lot of fun Doc, can never forget those. It's funny how you remember things from a POS game that was so long ago lol.

The learning curve wasnt as steep in AW because of the RR, so it kept people attention a lot more. Especially since it didn't take a super fast computer to run it.

are you trying to tell me my 486 25 mhz was not fast? I paid like 2700.00 for that thing, I could of swore I was smokin fast!!!

it blew my 286 or my 8088 out of the water it was so fast, and when I went from 900 baud to 1200 then 2400, I was chithot smokin :aok
