Big Problems
« on: November 08, 2007, 08:54:05 AM »
Hi,

first let me tell you that i used the search button and after 3 Days of "horror" i try it  by asking directly.

My PC is a Athlon X2 5000 with 2 GB RAM and a Radeon X1900XT 512 MB, Software is XP Home SP2 with all Updates. Athlon drivers are installed and WinXP Patches too.

Whenever i run Ah the Graphics stutter in the first minutes. This disappears if i get the chance to play for longer. Mostly the PC freezes after 10 - 30 Minutes and the only way to recover is to Power of the CPU.

First i thougt its a thermic Problem but other Games that uses more Graphic Power runs steady and for Hours.

Any Suggestions ?

Cu

Run Dxdiag, and post the first third of that report here, also post your in game settings, texture size what you have preloading and such.

The more info the better.

Started AH and after a few minutes PC freezes in.

Temp of GPU was 55° and CPU was 61°.. not really hot.

So much for DX Diag.

When im starting AH i preload all textures that are available (hi res).

Effects in the game are in original mode as the game comes up after installing it.

Maybe you find something in the dxdiag files.

Thanks for your help

heres the  LINK  for the duo-core info. Make sure you have that first.

Next DO NOT preload the "skins" there are too many of them now to have them all in you ram. They will still be displayed if you have them turned on, but it will call them from the HD

you might also try the "512 textures" your system looks pretty good, but the hit on your system might be too much.

Try those things, then try the game again.
