You have to let go this thing about stats, ranks, and kill ratios. When I came into the game to learn bombers I told myself I wont care one iota about such things cause if you play the game to preserve your kill ratios, or rank, then you arent going to learn it and grow.
For instance it would be easy for me to attack lightly defended targets at alts of 15,000' to 20,000' in my bombers. Any defense I would come up against would probably be one fighter at a time and there is only a small pool of fighter sticks that would give me pause coming at me one at a time.
Instead Im going after frontline bases at 10,000' to 12,000' with heavy dars up. Sometimes Im even going out of my way to fly into furballs. Last night I hadnt lost but one bomber when on the last flight of the night I turned into a major furball and before I knew it I was surrounded by 6 or 7 cons. Where'as when I first started, and would have died quickly, last night I danced for 3 or 4 minutes downing some fighters, crippling more, and had not a rear gunner died I would have made my way thru it. Overall it was a far more "growth orientated" encounter then meeting a single at 20,000' cause I had to stretch my situation awareness and move from gun to gun, bomber to bomber, quickly.
See my point?? Stats, kill ratios, and ranks, tell a very one sided story. Some of the toughest sticks Ive gone up against had lousy ranks. The best Pony stick I ever saw, "he chewed me up and spit me out", had a lousy rank.
Some guys with high ranks fly fairly cowardly too. I see them run away when pinged a few times when not up against a helpless enemy. "Course a lot of guys with high ranks dont".
So if that's the reason you are leaving the game then I think your making a mistake. Its easy to be dejected after hitting the chutes but instead you should dissect the encounter, analyze it, and turn it into a learning experience.
Dont leave the game for these reasons. Not for some kiddie monster game most certainly.
