Vote American in 2008.

<<<<~~~~ Throwin my hat in...

Vote Mac!!! Free America.

It's a write in on the ballot... called: American.

I have solicited no funds. I have just one interest group. You the American.

You can make a difference!

Here's my proposal:

1. We safeguard our borders, North and South, East and West.
Our "National Guard" is just that!

2. Total ellimination of Corporate outsourcing..If you depend upon 3rd World Countries to do American work then you move to that dam Country...yer not American.

3. The UN is outta the USA... send these corrupt bassturds to France or where ever...just get them out, after they pay all their parking tickets.

4. American Education. College is open to all. No tuitions but you still have to pay for books. If you make the grade you made it!

5. We are no longer the Worlds police force. Collect the funds due to the USA from Germany, France and everyone else and pay back to China. There is no longer a Favorite trade Nation. You want to trade with us it's straight across the board!

6. NAFTA is out. It was a dam bad idea to begin with!

7. All ExPresidents are just that... Ex Presidents. So STFU.

8. We rebuild America. Starting with the Farmers, Teachers, Firemen and the Police. Better benifits and increased pay.

9. If you can walk, talk, spell there is a job out there for you. Revamp of the Welfare System. I know sometimes there are circumstances.

10. In GOD We Trust is just that! It's Christmas... NOT Xmas, NOT Seasons Greetings.... You don't like it? Leave.

11. All Medical and Dental are paid from the Goverment. Hell you all paid for it already. Gotta look good and feel good. This is America.

12. Freedom.
For all Americans. If Freedom can not begin at home, where does Democracy begin?
Let Freedom Ring!!!

This is my plan, my Ticket. I don't see either party with one yet.
I'm not rich, if anything I went from poor to maybe middle class. I want no money from you, I just want to see America rebuilt as the same as it was before.
It's "For the People, By the People".

I say raise your Country as you would raise your child. Hug it, Love it and never let go.

I hope this has made you think.
We have had to many Years of non thinking.
Americans have suffered enough.
Lets rebuild out Nation from within.

This was my ticket back in December of '06.
If Ron Paul would like to Join my platform I'd be willing to talk.
It's all for America.

Vote for a Free America, Vote for Mac!

:aok

Numbers 1, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 12 are good ideas.

As much good as they will do, they will be triply undone by numbers 2, 4, 8, and 11.

No good can come from socialism, regardless of the title and pink tutu you put on it.

A version of #4 exists in Georgia.  If you carry a 3.0 in high school and attend a public uniiversity, the state picks up your instate tuition via a lottery funded scholarship so long as you maintain your 3.0 in college.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me everytime I write out a check to my college loan people that will be payed off about 5 years before I retire.

#8.  Our public servants deserve a raise.  You can goto the local cities website and look up the jobs and their pay.  The starting pay for the garbage truck driver is higher than that of the cop or fire fighter.  If it wasn't for the OT firemen get, the pizza delivery guy would make more than them.

#2 can be worked out through interesting tax code.  Not too hard to slap a 'corporate outsourcing tax' on companies to encourage them to keep jobs in America.

AS far as #11... I mentioned it in the original thread he posted this.  There'd be a net tax increase of 0, possibly a net tax decrease.  You'd be trading your current portion of taxes going to welfare for health insurance.  Most people on Welfare already get gov't health insurance, if not they jam up the ER and never pay making me pay more anyway.  The way I see it, that makes it so I take home more money in my check cause I get to keep the eomployee paid portion of my current health insurance.

Who conditioned you to think 2 and 8 have anything remotely to do with socialism?

And 4 could be the G.I. bill. Throw in 2 years mandatory service (military or suitable substitute) and it becomes universal. Think of it as actually "supporting the troops" and not lip service.

11. The "horrible" nationalized healthcare. No good has ever come from it. Other than the citizens of nations who have it are generally less stressed, in better health and not the drag on their national budgets than the critically ill poor who didn't have preventive medicine available their whole life in this country are.

Just think about it before you jump. Eh? :D

I knew you were being facetious, Mac. Lasersailor's hook was crooked, is all. Seems he doesn't like "socialism" for all the wrong reasons. :D

As good of an idea as it seems, any time you remove competition, both for place and money, it is for the detriment of BOTH parties.  This explicitly applies for numbers 4, 8 and 11.

Corporations don't outsource for their benefit only.  They outsource for YOUR benefit as well.  They can choose to stay in america, but at the detriment of the laws of Supply And Demand.  For example, say a company stays in America.  Their unit costs are at least twice that which an outsourced corporation gets.  So bam, instantly the product costs double.  Then consider that the corp can only hire half as many people.  Suddenly they can only turn out half as much product.

And without batting an eye, the difference between an outsourced product and a non-outsourced product would be a factor of 4 or more.

Also, it isn't a friggin IQ test as to why some jobs pay better then others.  This is because they are in less demand than others.  No one wants to be a Trashman outright.  So they need to raise the wages and benefits to attract people to it.

lasersailor... Americans can compete with anyone when we are on a level playing field...  with the tax burden in the US, the OSHA regulations, union demands, environmental laws and the absence of slave labor it is hard for Americans to stay in business on a stacked playing field... HOWEVER, should we allow products whose countries violate all of the laws we MUST follow to stock our shelves?  HELL NO!

Kick china and india off our damn shelves and DEFINITELY off of our customer support lines - then put illegal mexicans back in mexico - we'll be just fine

2,4,8 & 11

2 is just unrealistic. And if you do #2

How are you planning on paying for 4,8 & 11?

Hell even if you dont do #2 how are you planning on funding these?

As for #5
