The whole thing was a waste of time, and he should never have been put in front of a federal grand jury to testify...but he was.  And he lied.  Prosecuting him for that isn't a waste of time.

Your attitude doesn't surprise me at all. Like I said, it's typical. After all, who cares what damage is done, so long as the fan gets to see a "good show".

Don't let your hatred get in the way of your common sense

Nobody likes bonds, so what. He is not a threat to society, and he is not a threat to your children

It's a waste of money and resources, and alot of it

I kinda lean toward seeing what evidence can be presented to confirm the charges of perjury, etc.

If he confesses (ala Pete Rose) that he used them during baseball season against league rules, then MLB should throw him out. If evidence can be presented showing he committed perjury to a Grand Jury, then he should swing. But I would like to see what actual evidence can be presented to support any action against Bonds. Should be interesting!

Hatred has nothing at all to do with it. You are seriously deluded. I played ball 30 years ago in high school. It was a problem then. I coached ten years ago. It was a problem then. Bonds himself means NOTHING. About the man himself, I care nothing. But the use of steroids IS a threat. And it DOES effect the youth. To deny it is to be deluded. To ignore it is stupid.

No, the idiots already wasted the time, resources and tax dollars.  That's not going to change.  Lying to a federal grand jury is an offense that should be punished, regardless of how it came about.

Hatred has everything to do with it, he isn't the poster boy for steroids, the gov of california is

He, way back in the early 80's, started the steroid rage

Maybe we could start indicting the publishers of body building magazines, then we could go on to the advertisers in those magazines, then the competitors themselves

it's all for the children ya know

But, as with bonds, I think that would be a waste of time creating something to indict them on

ahhh, we already wasted all that time, resources and tax dollars, why not waste some more

Great, waste all that time and money to put a ballplayer on steroids in jail, let the pedophiles register and walk the streets

yeah, it's all for the children

You keep assuming I hate Bonds. That's YOUR assumption. The fact is I DON'T CARE about Bonds. But keep telling yourself that's the reason for what I say. That'll solve everything. Denial takes care of everything. One way or the other.

Yes, by all means, divert the attention to something else. That'll make it all better.

Put the steroid peddlers in prison, kick the steroid junkies out of sports, and execute the pedophiles. Dealing with steroids doesn't prevent you from dealing with pedophiles, dealing with steroids is just another task.

Well, I'm not sure how we jumped from prosecuting people for perjury to pedophiles, but it is pretty clear that you're not interested in an adult discussion.  I think I'll just leave ya to it.  Have a pleasant evening.

A baseball player doing steroids, that's what our justice dept's priority is?

Sorry, I think it's a waste, imo
No, it's not a waste of time or tax dollars, steroid use in sports is a problem.  Todays youth see their favorite athlete using steroids so they feel that they need to use them too if they wanna make it to the big leagues.  Alot of young athletes here in America die every year from steroid use, I think stopping it's use and prosecuting those that use them is worth the time & tax dollars.  Maybe people seeing someone like Bonds going to jail because of his steroid use will prevent someone else from ever trying them, and it's not like America is gonna go bankrupt or need to raise your taxes because of it.
