Bonds indicted
« on: November 15, 2007, 04:41:53 PM »
Barry Bonds was indicted today for perjury and obstruction of justice in the Balco investigation...

What a slime ball.  I have no idea why Giants fans support this guy.  My only wish is that these indictments came down before he stole the HR record for a real baseball hero and gentleman,  Hank Aaron.

Maybe he can play on the prison team

Then we can see how good he really is, minus the juice.

I say if they convict = lifetime ban.

They set the precedent with Pete Rose, now live up to it.

If Pete Rose can't get in, Bonds shouldn't get in.

I think Bonds is going to face some jail time...The Government is going to stand for some over payed salamander lying to a grand jury...Especially some over paid salamander who'm most of MLB despises.

He may have to be a catcher instead of a batter though

Yeah they really do need to give the title back to Hank Arron, Hank did it in a time when using steroids was virtually unheard of in baseball, so you know that he infact earned his title legitimately.  At the very least they need to put an * next to the title stating "obtained through the use of sports enhancing drugs".

A start of what? A waste of my tax dollars?

Don't they have bigger fish to fry? More important criminals to catch?

Oh wait, there's a feather in the cap of a political future to gain!

What a waste of resources

A baseball player doing steroids, that's what our justice dept's priority is?

Sorry, I think it's a waste, imo

Why yes, of course, having a bunch of thugs hyped up on steroids and all sorts of crap as role models for the nation's youth is a great idea. By all means, let's ignore it, so the younger athletes will get an early start. They'll start doing all those wonderful things that abusing steroids and other drugs lead to at an earlier age. Let them wreck their minds and bodies, and wreak havoc on their surroundings. Great idea. And anyone who thinks steroid abuse in pro sports has no trickle down effect on youth sports is only fooling himself. I saw it myself, 30 years ago. Better living and better athletes through chemicals. It's brilliant.

Sports, from high school on up, but especially college and pros, needs a massive house cleaning, in a major way. The behavior tolerated by "athletes" is out of control.
