The collision model is a perfect solution for the imperfect internet.

i think the collision model blows! i think people try to use it to thier advantage when losing a fite. when losing a tight s turning fight if they are out turned..they will continue the turn hoping to ram..knowing guns wont find the angle. i think both planes should go down. i don't care what he sees. maybe next time they wont get so close knowing they'll also go down.
i get 99fps...with all graphics maxed out. i have cable and i lose 99% of the collisions. its not right.

I've been hit many times in the rolling scissors so I know exactly where you're coming from, I don't think it was malicious though as you can get pretty close. I've also been guilty of misjudging the roll on the merge myself until figuring out the addition of a quick yo-yo in the roll can give a little bit of lag time to get guns on target.

So you expect the enemy to say " Well ftdeep is  too close to get a shot. Guess I better fly straight and lvl now".

Here is an idea. switch to lag pursuit till he gets a little separation.  He still going to turn as tight as possible (burning more mind you. While you are gaining a bit of E not turning so hard.

Difficult concept I know. I figured since you have such a firm grasp on the collision model. The above suggestion will be child's  play.

Sounds to me like you are putting your plane in a position to hit another plane on your front end 99% of the time.

And he doesn't have VSYNC ON if he is getting 99 fps ... that could be part of his problem too.

99 fps.  99% of collisions lost.  See a pattern here?  maybe a little embelishment?
