Spit 21? Bah. It's not a Spitfire anymore lol. What with that dangfangled new wing. Pshaw. I say bring either (or a combo of) the Seafire III, a Seafire XV (which technically entered the war, but never fought.. yea I know, I'm dreaming) and that awesome centre-line hard point for the F4U-1D which Sax has been whining about.

I think a B-29 would be ok to have in the game...just make it cost a LOT of bomber points so we don't see them all over the place

Hitech said in a thread he'd consider implementing it as long as it ended the sortie.   Made sense to me-- in real life, didn't landing back at base end a sortie?   If you refueled and went out again, it was counted as your second sortie of the day, wasn't it?

I think I get what you mean tho- I just wasn't thinking about it in a scoring sort of way.

I wouldn't mind seeing this, but for it to be used I think it would have to work more like this...

The main ideal that needs to be implemented into this is that you could get repairs even if the Fighter Hangers and/or Bomber Hangers are destroyed. In this way bases on the front line that have been bombed can still support fighters in some way. If the fighters already upped and perhaps intercepted the bombers but took some minor damage like engine oil or a fuel leak they could fly down, get repairs and await the swarm of fighters instead of being rend useless and have to up from an other base. Also perhaps if your kills are "landed" (In other words you would see the "John Smith has landed 2 kills in a Spit 16") but your plane would remain at the pad just with a fresh start in damage and score, similar to upping a new plane.

This is the only way I can see it being used, people won't use it when the FH's are up, but when they are down and the pressure is on to keep the base it could find a niche.

On a side note, perhaps a completely new pad could be added to the bases dedicated to repairs, this would help the congestion problem if there are a few of them around the base like re-arm pads. If they are destroyable it gives an other possible prime target for bombers to hit.

1) Be able to select aircraft skins when starting a mission - every one in mission gets the same skin.

2) Repair hangar where you can take your plane and have certain repairs made, like control surfaces replaced, fuel leaks fixed, oil lines and radiator lines repaired, holes patched.    Even if it ends your sortie or costs perk points.
