ENY question
« on: November 24, 2007, 10:06:13 AM »
I know that if one side gets a large number of players the ENY kicks in and prevenst them from flying the hotter planes, BUT sometimes it almost prevents them from flying fighters for the most part.

Why can't it be changed so that all the planes get perked and as the pop goes up so does the points for flying them. IF one side is totally out numbered the perk cost go down to 0.

Don't know if its been brought up before or not.

Or you could just change countries? It's alot less work on the folks in Grapevine and very simple on your end.

I'm not whining. Just read another post where a player wasn't able to fly with his squad. We've had a few times where some of us couldn't up in fighters to escort bombers because of the ENY.

Besides if they perked all the late war planes players would be abit suicidal. I hate it when I see an enemy fighter come screaming in through all the fighter CAPs just to vulch a plane taking off or landing at an AF.

If your side reaches ENY 30 and more, your numerical advantage is already ridiculous.

And a big NO to both having overwhelming numbers AND La7, Tempest & F4U-C at the same time.

Learn to fly the "crappy" planes, you might be surprised how much performance you can squeeze out of a ENY 30 plane...

There is always a fighter you can up unless flight is disabled for your country - which means you've basically been  playing with yourself anyway ;)

To fly what you want is simple.
A. change sides
B. change arena

Lusche, I do fly the crappy planes [190 A8, P-40, etc.] the majority of the time. I just get sick of flying against the hordes of late model planes.

If eny is kicking in, then I find it difficult to believe that you'd be flying into the "horde".

Edit: ohh and a quick check of score shows you do not fly those claimed AC. In LW anyway.

but the numbers change some times and all of a sudden the eny prevents you from flying what your squad needs {such as a long range fighter for escort}.

Except for this tour where you have more kills in a tempest than any other plane.   :aok

So what. Do you fly ALL the planes? I get a hankering to fly a particular plane for a week or so and fly it. I guess next your gonna start branding me a Rook or a Bishop? Even though I fly for whatever side is the underdog.

If the upper planes were perked more than they are now and the ones that aren't, maybe we would see more players flying the "Crappy" planes.

Then again it just amazes me how someone can come in and make a simple suggestion to improve the game and those that don't like it simply start flaming away at them instead of talking about it.
