One thing I think about when I see a heavy cannoned 190 coming at my bombers is that, at the least, I want to end up with at least one bomber to fly home with. Ive had a bit of a problem with the 190. Its a very dangerous fighter to have coming at your bombers. Which makes sense cause it was designed to kill high altitude bombers.
The way I see it, and against a skilled 190 stick in the heavy model, losing no bombers and getting the kill hardly ever happens. Losing just one bomber is still a strong victory, and losing 2 while downing him is still better then nothing. The 190 with a good stick behind it is always a serious threat to "slice and dice", "killing all 3 bombers", on you and must be handled carefully. The FW-190 is a very dangerous Buff killer and there are a small coterie of dedicated Luftwaffe fliers who are very, very good with it. I remember once while off at a distance I saw one diving with E and it looked like one of those super fast hunting hawks.
Up high, against bombers, the Butcher Bird is in its element and it must be respected.
