Buff hunting, perk farming, ground attack, fighter sweeps, etc.

Fly with a wingman; it's much better that way.

Naw its a lousy Buff killer. In fact its so bad that nobody should fly it. In fact AH should get rid of it cause its so bad at killing Buffs.:huh

I've used it as a primary fighter before.
Utilize it's roll rate and you'll do just fine.
Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

took a 190a5 into a pretty good size fight tonight.

made it home w/ 4 kills.  (which is "ok")

FW can be a fun one to fly.

I love it too. I've made many a Spitfire and a lot of other turny planes. Miss me by rolling like a mad man and jinking at a rate they can not keep up with. Get quite a few augers from that too. Then they tell me i'm cheating or stick stiiring when i'm rolling in place and avoiding there gun shots.

The 190a8 with 30mm gun package will turn anything into nice small bits with just a quick burst, but I prefer the 20mm package for more ammo.  As long as you manage your E properly and don't let yourself be drawn into a turn fight or down in the weeds it's a good enough aircraft to fight in.

The FW-190F8 is a great ground attack platform... It is deadly when heavy.
Since I've learned to deal with it's incridible torque, it has become my primary GV killer. The rockets are the only ones in the game that can kill heavy armor and the 500kg bomb will clear the main pad of a vbase faster than a liberal will change the radio when Rush Limbaugh comes on! The 20 mm cannons will kill soft skinned gvs and will "track" or "turret" a heavy gv. When ord is expended it is a servicable BnZ fighter. Its high speed also makes it good for de-acking a defended base. I landed 5 kills in a single sortie in one yesterday 4 gvs and 1 aircraft that tried to jump me on egress from the base our squad was attacking... I hate to see a 190F when I'm in a GV... :aok

One thing I think about when I see a heavy cannoned 190 coming at my bombers is that, at the least, I want to end up with at least one bomber to fly home with. Ive had a bit of a problem with the 190. Its a very dangerous fighter to have coming at your bombers. Which makes sense cause it was designed to kill high altitude bombers.

The way I see it, and against a skilled 190 stick in the heavy model, losing no bombers and getting the kill hardly ever happens. Losing just one bomber is still a strong victory, and losing 2 while downing him is still better then nothing. The 190 with a good stick behind it is always a serious threat to "slice and dice", "killing all 3 bombers", on you and must be handled carefully. The FW-190 is a very dangerous Buff killer and there are a small coterie of dedicated Luftwaffe fliers who are very, very good with it. I remember once while off at a distance I saw one diving with E and it looked like one of those super fast hunting hawks.

Up high, against bombers, the Butcher Bird is in its element and it must be respected.

Indeed, it doesn't even need both wings.
