I wish that they could get the lighting right in games. Why is it always such a dark side of the moon event when looking at something?

I hate to say it, but it looks like a 2004 version of Panzer Commander... I'm not a graphics guy, but they could of updated the graphics alot more than they did.

Yea true specially with what some of the newer DX10 games look like. For instance Farcry 2 or Crysis. Both of those games have killer looking terrains and would be awesome game engines to use for a tank sim.

Realism is quite high IMHO. I've read quite a few memuars of tank veterans, especially from eastern front, and many things seems very right. Also, this is first proper tank WW2 'sim' that we had...ever? I'm not going to talk about Panzer Elite since that is a joke without user mods. The only game that resemble tank vs tank combat to SFK is WW2OL.
Playability wise, it's very hard. It's more of a study sim. Learn keys....very important.

About 'prettiness', my settings are on medium and images were resized (1280x1024 to 800x600). When game is in motion, it looks very nice. Obviously, our dear sims will never look like crysis, but i'd rather take a good game play that will last me years (IL2 is a good example) than a silly maze game with 10 hours of game play.

With no AP ammo left and only few of next best thing, shrapnel shell, I manage to penetrate armor and injure driver. Few more shells damaged track of still Stug and crew bailed out.

Work place of commander and gunner since in T34/76 those are the same person.

Loader is waiting my next command. My tank carries ~10 AP shells, ~10 Shrapnel and ~60 HE shells. Each shell can have different settings; I can set shrapnel to detonate with impact which can actually provide +/- 30mm of armor penetration or set it so shell detonates over infantry.

Infantry charges forward. Without proper support, they are toast.

This is the result what happens when infantry charges position without tanks / artillery. My HE shells plowed the ground around them.

With only HE shells left, I managed to knock out tracks of this Stug. Thinking that I knocked him out and crew bailed, I was stupid enough to driver right in front of him later on. He didn't miss and with with first shot my tank was knocked out.

German units managed to retake village. I caught Stug moving away and shot a shrapnel shell into it's rear. No one jumped out as Stug stopped moving forever.

One AP is enough to take out this Pnz at 850 meters.

Also, that T-34 is mighty nice looking...  Always did like Russian Armor more than US.  Never have figured out why...
If I didnt know any better I would say those screenshots are from a game called "T-34 vs Tiger" or at least thats what it was called last year.
I have the demo loaded but I dont play it much.
