I'm sorry, some guy straps a bomb to his chest, walks into an office, and you say, "The man will be praised as a hero around here."

I guess I got the wong impression.  Terribly sorry, old boy.

I would agree with that... however a suicide bomber, with what is now reported to be one hostage, is a delicate matter to deal with.

I, for one, would like to see this guy taken alive and interrogated.
For all we know he is against the idea of a female president, or his daughter was a notch in Bill's bedpost or he may be an escapee from the local nut ward and just wants world wide attention or a political extremist of either the right or left or some other flavor.

Only time will tell. At least this seems to be an isolated incident.

If this is an Al Qaeda operative I would expect other suicide bombers at other political sites at the same time.

curval.. why don't they just shoot him in the head?  he isn't wearing a bomb on his head is he?

surely at that range even a new yorker could shoot someone in the head?

Maybe wolf is correct tho...

In which case.. maybe if they wept and wet themselves enough the flood would short out the detonator?   or... why not just call 911 and the police will come and make the bad man go away... What is the problem?

Absolutely! I use my power of calm discourse and the vote to speak my mind... not bombs and threats and personal attacks.

Funny but the first thing I thought of was that episode of the X Files where the girl keeps trying to get Maulder's attention day after day as her boyfriend blows up himself and the bank over and over.

Glad to see everyone pulling together to take this seriously.
