« on: December 21, 2007, 04:43:32 AM »
any one know any good tactics for planes like the spit (any spit i really dont care just not spit-1), maybe la-7 i can land lots of kills on 1, just really easy for me to get shot down in 1, and i would like tempest and 262 tactics (now that im sort of good i have like 500 perkies that i dont wanna waste)

Trainers web site has some great info

as does netaces.org

Also you might pop into the TA and grab one of our wonderfull trainers for some help.

You will be amazed at what one hour with a trainer will do.

Spit 16 - Fairly fast, just a bit slower than a pony D, good load outs, good for turn fighting, requires least skills to fly out of all spits.

Spit 14 - Very fast, can catch a pony D!, same gun load out as spit 16, worst turner of spit family, excellent acceleration, E fighter.

Spit 8, 9 - Best spits to learn how to fight in, good all around in speed, turn rate/radius, climb rate, my favorite spits.

Spit 5, 1 - Best slow speed turn fighters of spit family, 1 is best turner out of all spits, 303's pack a punch at close range, requires most skills to fly out of all spits.

That's my input on the Spitires. La-7's I never fly, Tempest and 262's I flew sometimes, but haven't really learned how to fly them yet.

You really need to watch out with the 262. Don't dive from 15K and expect to pull out. It's wings rip off easy. My suggestion, tool around with each in the Off-line and Training Arena for a bit to see their weaknesses and all.

lol i flew the tempest a lot in hth before i knew it was a perk plane it was my fave ride.
in the tempest and 262 speed is your best bet if you blow a pass go straight dont turn or climb until your at least out of gun range (depeding on e states)
never get slower than 300 if at all posible (and then only if your alone with one guy)
if you want to save your perks never take them into a situation where your not comfortably in control id say dont go to the furball but climb to 15-17k and hover in the line of enemy on the way to the furball those still climbing out and at low relative e. dont get near feilds cvs or towns lower than 8k
any ack will ruin your day so avoid going into ack.

usualy if an enemey knows he cant beat you he will run to ack dont be dumb and follow there is alwys another guy to kill.
overconfidence in your machine will get you killed just as easy as having no skill at all id say fly in this manner until you are ready to go crazy and furball lol
