Have they ever seriously ever tried to whack Mr Musharraf?

Seems to me, he gets light attention from the "terrorists" he publically vows to fight.

I have to believe at this point Mr Musharraf exercised creative efforts to deal with a political opponent.

Yes, they have. On at least two occasions they have come reasonably close.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Musharraf is involved.

There goes any chance of fair peaceful elections happening in Pakistan.  She was the only one who stood any chance of garnering significant support.   She is a great loss to her country.

Yup, too early to speculate on direct involvement but there are a lot of alligations that Ms Bhutto was denied approprate government security.

There have been reported parallels drawn outside the US between Ms Bhutto and her family and JFK and his clan.

Of interest is whether there is going to be a coup and, if so, who will control Pakistani nuclear weapons.

There are a lot of allegations, period.

Was Johnson involved in the death of Robert Kennedy? After all, Johnson was President.

Was Nixon involved in the attempt on George Wallace? After all, Nixon was President.

The point being, both attacks happened right here in the U.S., a much more stable country, even then.

I truely hope he and his party are not involved.
The US needs reliable friends there.

BTW, didn't Johnson write a sealed letter after the JFK killing not to be opened for 50 years?

READ Hilts....I'm not saying he had a hand in it...I said that people there will THINK he had a hand in it..that it would APPEAR he had a hand in it...it LOOKS like he had a hand in it... (Pretty much a smart assumption on their part, as politicians bumping off their political opposition goes back to Biblical times.)  But this early...it's still just an assumption on their part.

If he did or not he still has a major problem because thousands are in in the streets chanting that they THINK he did.

I think it was terrorists.  Al Khaida/Taliban knew in advance that her election as Prime Minister would mean their days of having a haven in Pakistan would be numbered...they also did not want to see Pakistan to return to a democracy.

But Musharriff has a MAJOR problem with this:

It's been 25 years since I was a cop, but when it's less than an hour after her assination---and a fire fighter crew comes in and TOTALLY HOSES DOWN the crime scene, destroying forever all the evidence that could have been collected (bomb components--((our FBI & CIA experts can easily track down a bomb maker by studying how a bomb was made)) -- blood samples, fingerprints on the gun,  etc.) you have to ask yourself why would they want to do that in such a high profile assination?

Who had the power to order that the crime scene be destroyed?

Musharraf just announced the elections have been called off indefinitely.

Hmmm

Learn to TYPE. Or at least how to adequately express your thoughts.

Nowhere in your post did you state that your position was that OTHERS would say Musharraf (try spelling it correctly) had a hand in it.

THIS, is what you posted:

Quote
This is really, really bad.

Things are going to get ugly in a hurry.

I see a civil war happening in a country that has nuclear weapons.

A) It looks like Perez Musharif had some sort of hand in it.

B) Musharif will blame Al Khaida

C) Civil war in a country where Al Khaida lives in the Afhani-border mountain country and has free reign in regions of the country where Musharif is afraid to enforce law...is going to be a mess.

A portion of the Pakastani military supports terrorists, and terrorism.

If the invasion of Kuwait was a matchstick...

The assination of Bhutto will be a powderkeg at a gas station.
[/B]

Now, show everyone where you stated OTHERS would say it was Musharraf, but YOU were NOT saying it.

Over there, it is common for a homicide bombing scene to be hosed off immediately. Even Bhutto's people say one person fired on her, then blew himself up. The shooter blew himself to pieces. The shooter/bomber will likely be identified, provided there's enough of him left (there usually is, the Israelis are often successful since the bomber's head is usually blown clear, with not nearly as much damage as you'd expect). The question is not what happened, or who did it, but rather who was behind it. Forensics are not likely to be a big factor anyway.

I just saw a blurb on foxnews.com about gold prices up because of this and it got me thinking...

this may sound weird and maybe I am being dumb, but there is a local gas station run and staffed by middle-eastern decent people, I don't know where from, I can never tell even though my uncle is 100% Pakistani.

anyway, Sunday night I stopped in to get some smokes, and chatting with the clerk has said something about how I should "invest in gold" and I dismissed it.

related?
I don't know what to put here yet.
