I don't care if the economy is going into the tank. Now is the time to upgrade some firearms in the household and get ready to have some guns to pass on to my two boys when they are old enough to have their own.

Not holding off just upgrading a little bit with the long guns this spring. This one will be the first out of the bag.

Beretta Tikka T3 Hunter .270

Then I will be buying this one in the summer and will get it in the 30TC caliber.

Then I am going to start saving up for something that I doubt I will ever need in my lifetime..... Hell I don't think I can even get enough saved for it since it will be over $13,000 just for the gun.

Think "Spa with beer and cigars at Rips house" if you do visit the NW. ;)

he is not unable to discuss, just unwilling. if you look closer his participation in this thread was never more than mild piss taking aimed at lazs that he never intended to take quite that far. but then you did make an exceptionaly easy target.

you should have worked out that he had no serious intentions at this point..

..is folly of the most obvious kind

furball's subtle and devilish cool nature can often disguise his obvious distaste for taking anything seriously around here so i can understand how you got tangled but unfortunately the spectacular class with which he trolls is often so tainted with wit that no one can stand but to like him and laugh along.

if i may be so bold as to say.. :D

Donate the tool money to me so we can have better tools to work with at work

With the spring AG season starting soon, we always have stuff breaking all the time and not the best tools to use

(Them rachet wrenches would be really handy.......)

Yes, I've resisted the shopping temptation.  However, it's only 3 days into the year ~ give it time...

Yes, but infuriates' many of the O'club posters, because we feel that if we were to try the same thing, we would run into a PNG. For thing's like Hijacking the thread, and so on.

I'm not saying that Furbie's not funny (I've seen some great stuff in other threads, in GD) It's just that in here, the discussion's become more heated, and passionate.

Sometimes, when you think comedic relief is needed, All it does is to exasperate a discussion into a flame-fest.

(I myself understood the nature of his intent...and i'm not putting him out for it; It's that some others' might....)

Since WW2, the economy has averaged 57 month growth cycles, with recessions/slow periods in between--70's...sucked (but the gas thing was previously unheard of...ground-shaking change to economy there, +..Carter handled it poorly, other than letting the price of fuel float) in 82-83, economy FINALLY took off...tapered off end of 80's...went great throughout most of 90's, last quarter or 2 under Clinton it tanked...has been going great guns since '02-03 or so, NOW starting to tail off. It's predictable, just like senate hearings into gas-price gouging every spring:huh

i understand that and furball does too. none of that is going to change who he is at this stage in his life or maybe ever. how could furball get a PNG for anything in this thread? he has simply engaged you in conversation with a little comedy act so harmless that it does nothing more than raise a few smiles and exercise his fingers.

I know, Bat. It's all in fun...But ya gotta admit, people get alot more bent outta shape in the O'club, than in GD. (Well, most of the time, Some of the threads on the plane vote got downright acidic. And the MA split starred some real screamers...)
