I too have been plagued with disco issues in the last 4 months.
It varies on the day, today i did not disco once, others I'm lucky to stay ini the arena for a few minutes. The good days are much rarer than the bad ones for sure.

I had major FR issues I tried RAM, new Video card, new, bigger HDD. I didn't see any improvement until I upgraded my processor to match. It seems as the game evolves the demand on the processor increases dramatically.

Recently I have gotten the msg "Lost UDP Switch TCP".  Now on the rere occasion in the past when I got this msg I would disco out within a minute. Now I just warp a little then back to normal and play on like nothing happened. Not complaining just saying this just started this tour, and it happens EVERYTIME I play now.

Edit: Text buffer usually locks up just before this happens.

Instead of just complaining about discos, there are things you can do, like trouble shoot it :)

Download a program called pingplotter, it's free. Install it. Check out the sticky at the top of the tech support page and get the IP addresses for the servers. Type tat into the pingplotter and let it run for about 15 mins, or just after your disco.

Either take a screen shot of the page, or save the text version and either post it here, or send it to skuzzy

Been there done that, the problem for me lies on the return path, and unfortunately out of Skuzzy's realm. I did also have issues closer to home, but since I've taken it up with my ISP I've seen some improvement on that front though I am still seeing loss stateside.
Until ISPs in the USA stop trying to shape their traffic to cut costs we are not likely to see any improvement. Speaking of which, does anyone know how the suit against Comcast(?) is going re the shaping of UDP traffic is coming along?

So knowing the cause of your discos is out of your hands, as well as being out of HTC's hands you still come here and stir the pot? Maybe you should have posted "I have been been getting discos too, mine seem to be my ISP, and they have improved things, to not by much, once I complained to them" At least this way your post might have helped someone else look at their ISP, or pingplot.

I wasn't intending on stirring any pots :)
I didn't think this was a pot stirring thread, I was just offering support to a fellow gamer who might have thought the issue was related to his system :) I'm sure if he was beginning to really get frustrated he would have posted in the tech support forum as I did and also emailed Skuzzy with his plot results :)
I merely interpreted the post as a someone looking for a little bit of "it's not just you mate, some of us are getting it too"

Yup.  10 minutes into first sortie on Tuesday.  Went to DA instead.

Just remember.  Its not the server.  Its your intarwebzorz.

More than one squadie is considering leaving because the game has become unplayable in some cases.
