I wasn't aiming that "you" at you.
My point is for those people that just refuse to improve their spelling, given a chance, or say they'd rather mis-spell than not.

Laz Gun ownership and this subject are two things we agree upon.

Fully 2/3 of my spelling errors are due to simple typos. Hitting the wrong key or typing two letters backwards while typing fast. While as you say thinking on the fly. the other third is due to the fact that I've never been great at spelling ot begin with.

This is a BB. Not a spelling or writing competition.

This isnt a business dealing where I might not get a contract. And Im not particularly here to try to impress anyone with my spelling abilities.

If it were some sort of competition. If it were a busiiness dealing. Or if it was important ot jme to try to impress anyone with my spelling abilities.
then I'd triple check every word written.

In business dealings I will make sure everything is correct.
Here. Its just not that important

Hey at least most of us arent using the kiddie style of "How R U 2day"
Which i find FAR more annoying then some misspelled words.

At least people are trying to type in complete words. However incorrectly they may be spelled.

Sometimes I use spellcheck here. most of the time I just dont feel like being bothered going over every single word I just wrote.

If you can spell perfectly hey. More power to you. Alot of us cant.
But by the same token I'd be willing to bet tehre are things others of us can do that you cant do well.
So. Which one of us is better, or smarter?

those who can spell great I'll make you a deal.
You dont critique those of us who do not or cannot always spell or type perfectly.

And we wont think you inept forsomething  that you have difficulty with that we might find simple.

The correct form of the above would use a comma instead of a period after 'BB'.

In the above form, "Not a spelling or writing competition." is not a complete sentence and should not be punctuated as one.

See, this is what I'm talking about.  A third grader with special needs would be able to correctly write out this sentence.  Your?

It's pretty much all he's got.. check out his fighter scores in the game.   he is lucky if... no matter how good a plane of how much of an advantage.. he has a 50/50 chance of survival.

but he does know how to use a spell checker and is anal enough to do it.

don't know you..  only know what you write here and how you play.

Have pointed out that neither impresses me.  You may be a great dancer or... you may make really nice ship in a bottle models.. maybe on some ship in a bottle or dancing forum or game you are considered a god.

I just go by what I see of you.

Hell.. might even like you in person.   Never met anyone here yet I didn't like when I met em in person but.. you do seem to be the most arrogant guy I have come across  through this game so far. sooo... maybe you would be the exception.

Nope, just someone who understands that different words mean different things.  "Your" is not interchangeable with "You're" in meaning.

YOUR lack of knowledge of the difference undermines YOUR position.  YOU'RE one of those people who say..."dangnabit, you done known what I was talkin about... I ain't no speller."

The devil is in the details.

Maybe... maybe not.  I'm still wondering how an old-timer to this game wouldn't recognize that score (and rank) doesn't indicate how good an online pilot you are,  not to mention what kind of person you are in real life.

I, personally, enjoy upping from capped bases and at spawncamps.  I guess that makes me a horrible pilot if I get killed on takeoff 7 times and kill 6 of them in the one sortie that I do get up. I mean, that's less than a 1/1 K/S..I really suck.  Whatever... it's my 14.95 anyway.

Now that I realize that you are judging me... I'll be sure to up as far away from conflict and pad my scores.. you know... like Vanscrew.

didn't say anything about  rank.. only said that no matter how good a plane you had.. no matter what advantage you had..  if you attacked anther plane it was a pretty good bet you were gonna blow it and lose anyway.  The only thing I said about score was really the K/D thing..  that would be the thing that described how you did when you ran into another plane.

you need to pay attention to what people actually say.

Now you may be right and just be one of those devil may care guys who ups and gets vulched but..  that would give you a high kill per hour.. or.. it would mean that your upping was doing nothing good except padding someone elses score.

ok moray, heres my take:  In this arena, with this audience (yes, including you), I dont much care about it.  As long as I get my point across Im good to go.  If you get hung up on spelling you're as your then that really is your problem to deal with, not mine.  It also indicates to most here that you have lost the argument and are resorting to diversion tactics to cover the retreat of your burning carcass.

Lazs was probably just looking at kills versus killed.  Its a stat you cannot argue against, you either kill more or get killed more.  If you get killed more than you kill it generally suggests your not very good at the game, but hopefully your still having your type fun.  Thats what the game is about.

yep.. enjoy the game is what it is all about.   He thinks differently than I do and he plays different than me..  I don't want a part of either of the ways he does those things based on what I know..   which is... what he says here and how he plays.

Like I said.. he may be a great dancer or model ship builder.  He may even be a great guy to be around.  None of these things come through here tho.

Just use "yer". Works everywhere and is easily understood. "Yer gonna get yer bellybutton kicked." See?
