Here! Here!  I agree.  Most of the PS's I get are either telling me I suck because they shot me down in their uber plane while I am in my C.205, or telling me I cheated because I shot them down in my C.205.

I myself only use PM's for compliments, or if the situation turns humorous.  For example, one day, every where on the map I kept running into the same enemy player.  We pretty much alternated killing each other.  There were a few PM's back and forth about our own private little war.  But this is the exception to the rule.

Most of the time, the PM's are just ignored by me.

That would annoy me.  If I PM somebody after they get me it is to compliment them.

The other day a P-38 nailed my A6M5 in a shot I thought I thought I was safe from, so I PMed him "Nice shot!  I thought I was clear."

There should be a setting that defaults to "Never" for whether or not you want to accept Cross Country PM's and/or VOX - it should have 3 states

Always
Never
Prompt

If there was ever a time when I would have quit Aces High it was shortly after starting, and after receiving 2 or 3 of these "jewels" from a couple of players whose ego's exceed their skills.

Maybe it's my age...but I find those PMs humorous. I also keep CH200 tuned for the laughs.

Was heading to a fight and was reading the text otw. Typed one little funny thing to a new guy before I dove into the fight and got about 20 join requests from him.  :huh

Don't know what that was all about.

I am very happy that somebody finally found the nads to speak on this most controversial and passion-flaring issue.

If there is one thing that lacks in this game of cartoon airplanes, it's old world politeness and dignity. We must embrace the intent of our spiritual ancestors and learn the ways of the warriors of old.

Personally, Not, I think that you don't go far enough in your request. I think that we should not just request to PM, but request to post messages on ANY channel, private or public!

We should request to make snide comments to our squadmates!

We should request not just to shoot down enemy aircraft, but even to fire on them!!

Bring the dignity and order of war to  our virtual war!!
