I know that this has been requested before, but if we wish for it enough we just might get it.  

To stop the LancStukas and to stop low level bombing give us fixed 88's at V-Bases and Air Bases.  Also, let us spawn mobile 88's to protect our GV's from air attack.

If the effort is too great to model 88's at this time, just give us the same 5" guns the CV's have.

I am fine with no fuses, but if we get 88's let get a choice to switch between HE and AP just like a tank.  AP would put a hurt on any GV in sight.

Fly a fighter and lancstukas aren't a problem.  Drive a gv with a mouse you deserve to get bombed.

We used to have heavy AA at fields. Just as we have it at Strat facilities now.  It did not stop "inappropriate" use of heavy bombers.

For me its quite simple ................... force the use of F6 to drop from heavy bombers and increase the time delay/distance travelled delay for arming bombs loaded in heavy bombers.

If you want to drop from below 5k from the pilots position you have to choose an attack aircraft which should deny the use of formations.

Get in your Favourite Buff hunter and kill them all before they get there.


Problem solved.  If you can't handle shooting down buffs I suggest you start learning the basics of gunnery and SA.

Yup, easiest fix to the LancStuka is to protect your cv rather then send it in 2 ft of the shore to geta 10 second flight to a field, so you can vulch. Instead of having every single one of the 30 people taking off from the cv go to the field and vulch, have 4-5 of you hang around 15K a little ways out of the cv and watch for high alt bombers. Any bomber below 5K is easy pickins for the 5"ers.

Again, as I stated in another thread, holding a defensive cap over your base/CV DOES work. I never dive-bomb in bombers that weren't commonly meant for that tactic. If I choose to dive-bomb, it would be in a P47. Once upon a time, I did on occasion dive-bomb in Ju88's, because they were fitted for both types of bombing (with dive-flaps).

When I go after CV's, I invariably use B26's at 8K ft with a 500# loadout. I know that the CV stays up when the enemy keeps me away from it and shoots me down.

Bombers exist, and are modelled the way they are, because HTC thinks bomber pilots are lazy and inept, and could never handle fighters, or survive in single buffs the way we had to in the old days. They must also think the average "skill" level in the MA is dropping like a brick, and I must say I agree. By making a complete joke out of bombers however, they've made the game accessible to those who would otherwise get frustrated and cancel their accounts.

We don't need more limitations in the game, we just need to chase off the players who really suck. Only by culling the weak can we hope to see gameplay improve beyond NOE lazcaster and 110 suicide raids.
