Some guy came to my house wishing to serve me.
I was at work so sucks to be him, must be some promotion for that stupid dance movie coming out.

 If it is an off duty gig, the deputy does not have to be in uniform to serve you with a PPO, summons or subpoena. If it was just a process server hired by a law firm they don't normally wear a uniform.

 The way I view it, being served doesn't seem like a good thing, uniform or not. Best thing for you to do, rather than "duck" whoever this is, is to just confront them as soon as you get the opportunity. This way you can deal with whatever the issue is sooner than later. If it is something legal, it is not just going to go away because you manage to duck the server. Good luck what ever the issue is.

Pooh, when my dad still had his law practice going, he would use my Older brother's to serve warrants.Process servers' can be anybody, even your best friend. Chances' are, you need to stop and take a good look around everything-your property, finances, items' you own or have borrowed-and see if you might have some issue.

It might simply be that a tree on your property has grown too far over on your neighbors' side of the fence. Maybe your dog bit someone's kid. You need to see where you stand, and do it NOW.

Who said I am ducking,  I was at work. When he comes on monday I want to see whats up, because for the life of me I cant imagine why someone would wish to sue me.

edit: oh and Drunky. I have a bottle of 151 I am working on killing, when he comes my breath alone would probably intoxicate him

It could be nothing.

I recently got subpoenaed by a guy suing his former employer. He had applied to us for a job and had assumed he hadn't got it because of poor references from the previous employer.

In reality, he didn't get the job because he had absolutely no relevant experience. I don't think I spent more than 90 seconds looking at his resume, never mind contacting any of his references.

Are there a lot of red-light cameras in your neighborhood?
