Some have said it is Obama, and many others say it is yet to come and will not happen for many more years!

However this site apparently tries to get you to believe it already exists based on historical record and scripture from the Book of Daniel.

There's MORE than enough evidence in the historical record to identify the end of the Western Roman Empire as the events referred to in Revelation.

You realise this. As well as the way various religeons in general are taught.
Is only a matter of personal as well as group inidvidual interpretation.

Alot of what is written can be applied to several points in history.
And these bold predictions of "repent now. The end is near!" have been made for hundreds of years.

Oh I know but its fun to read some of the things that get propped up on the 'net. As for the accusations against Obama; go look at YouTube and you might get a few hits on that subject. Also just do a search on Google for these three terms; Barrack Obama antichrist; and you get all sorts of nutjobs bouncing the idea around.

When I was a small child My uncle. Who practically lived at our house became a Jehovas Witness.

If you've ever had experience with a convert you will know they also attempt to convert everyone around them.

For several years I had to put up with this crap.
Used to get dragged to the meetings. the whole 9 yards.
I remember one time him telling me that it was definately going ot happen soon. and that I probably wouldnt live to grow up and have kids of my own before it happened. Let alone be 46 with 1 legally adult child.

he beleived it for the longest time too. Basically lived a life of poverty going around preching "the word"
Eventually he got tired of being poor. got a regualr job. and bought a house.

Still really INTO the JW's

Nero's reign was nowhere near the end of the Western Roman Empire.  If anything, he was smack dab in the middle of its golden age, which ran from 31 BC until roughly the 220's AD after Septimius Severus.

Seems like a legit topic, JBA.  Plenty of folks believe there's an Anti-Christ, and plenty more think he/she/it's something that's alive already.  As y'all know, I'm pretty skeptical, but that doesn't mean it isn't an interesting discussion.  

What's trollish?  Or am I dense like tungsten?
