Bomber calibration?
« on: February 17, 2008, 08:48:52 PM »
Sorry, looked this up a bunch of times, can't find the answer.

In set of 17's, level, open doors.  Wait for bit, go to bombsite, hit u to calibrate.

Then hold y key.  Are you holding the pipper over a spot on the earth while holding y?  Or just holding y?

Or do you have be sighted on your target maybe?

Thanks if anyone can help.

you just need to hold "Y" button down after you are in calibration mode.

There is one catch to this though you need to make sure that you are truly level. The only real way to do this is to pull up your clipboard and click on the E6B in there is a section that gives you the climb rate. Make sure that is at zero. If it is not then your calibration will be off. I suggest trying this a few times offline or in TA to try it out. Even getting with a trainer or some of the experienced players will help.

You do not need to move the pipper at all while calibrating. I suggest not touching the steering while calibrating but make sure before you calibrate you are close to being lined up on target. The after calibrating, when you return to normal mode you can make slight adjustments to line up on target. But you will want to get as close to lining up as you can before calibration because large movements will throw off your calibration.

I also suggest starting your calibration about a full sector away from target. This will give you plenty of time for your plane to truly level out.

Depending on the arena setting it could be either. At the present time though all you have to do is hold y down for a certain period of time, 10 better than 2 seconds. Also make sure your speed is stable and then calibrate.
