You apparently aren't familiar with Louisiana politics. In Illinois dead people can vote. In Louisiana dead people can win elections.

Apparently you never heard of the "license for bribes" investigation here, and thats just the most recent corruption investigation,  I believe before that it was investigation called "Silver Shovel", Illinois is known for it's political corruption.  Right now our Governor is "Rod R. Blagojevich", before him the Governor was "George Ryan", you wanna know what George Ryan is doing right now......He's doing 6 years, he's sitting in a Federal Prison on bribery charges, along with quite a few of his campaign people.  The license for bribes investigation went for about 8 years and lead to the arrest of alot of politicians and all started when a family driving down the highway in a mini van was hit by a trucker who got his CDL by making a campaign donation, the van had a pastor and his wife with there 6 kids, all 6 kids died, both parents lived and thats what launched the investigation.

Here you can read about it here: George Ryan

Nothing anyone says or does will change whether people will vote for Sen. Obama or not. If he came out and said he was using crack until last year, people would justify it some how and still vote for him.
Just as if Sen. McCain said he was using something, people could justify voting for him.

I really think if everyone would realize that this is a republic and not a democracy, that we elect people who we hope will see things our way, but are still required to vote in the congress as they are told to by the senior leadership we could get back to NORMAL TV!

So I’ll put my political blinders on, so I can only see one party, get in line, think of god, king and country and push the button and watch nothing change for the better.

NOTHING.
get it! nothing
nothing will change
it is a ........nothing!

For about the 3rd time.

You don't rise through the Illinois Democratic Machine as an "independent thinker" or one who will work for fundamental change in the status quo. You might be able to wrestle away some state senate seat -- maybe. But you would have to struggle each election cycle unless you decided to play ball. Obama did not go that route. Obama is, and has been from his political beginnings, a mainstream player with Dick Durbin as his mentor.

Similarly, you do not get asked to speak at the Democratic National Convention as an outsider who wants to change business as usual in Washington.

And, you do not get the endorsement of Ted Kennedy as an outsider who wants to change the way Washington works.

Obama is part of the Democratic political insider machine. He is more "progressive" than most to be sure. Even though his record is sparse, you can likely look to Ted Kennedy or Dick Durbin to see the type of "change" you can expect under Obama. A different menu of pork perhaps, at least in some areas, but business as usual. That will be the reality of his change.

The only Democrat who was an outsider pushing for real change was Dennis Kucinich, and you can see exactly how his party treats an outsider looking for true change. Compare and contrast.

Investigation? Y'all have investigations?

My wife's from Chicago so I'm reasonably familiar with all that. And while it's quite impressive, y'all are amateurs compared to Louisiana, where half the state's under water, the other half's under indictment.

Yes, just words. and just words she can mean.

As a black woman she has every reason and right to utter those words.
she is witnessing possibly for the first time in her life what alot of us white have been tryng to tell them for years.
That they really are equal to a white. that they really can be repected and accepted by a huge amount of people of different races not just because of color but for who they are.

Up untill this point alot of them have felt it was just dribble.

now they have tangible evidence its real.

Im in no way a Obama supporter. and Im sure as hell no black equality activist.

But I think some of you folk have your heads clogged in your right wing blather as those you critique on the left.

This clip is a non issue

The left chooses to ignore well-thought out posts such as yours and pretend that Obama ("maybe" as he likes to say) will change things in Washington. It will be "business as usual" and a wasted 4 years.

Type "Mr. Tony Rezko" into a search engine and see what bounces back.:lol  Tho I guess for Illinois its quite mild. I'll bet hes hoping Rezko keeps his mouth shut. Thats another Chicago art form. One guy taking the fall, and the 2 year Club Fed vacation, and when he gets back to town all of a sudden he doesnt need to work anymore. :rofl

Then Obama used to get high all the time. Theres a lot of rumors about heavy drug use and his Muslim upbringing. I'll bet 95% of his backers dont even know where he stands on issues.
